  1. So a team or players that played most/all of the season are automatically better than teams/players with abbreviated or cancelled schedules solely because they have a larger body of work? Nah, I can't accept that. Lacking a full season of college football play does not make lesser talented teams/players better by simply filling a void.
  2. Nice cherry pick. The 2020 season where a lot of teams cancelled or had abbreviated seasons. The ACC was one of the very few conferences that had close to a normal season. Yes, the ACC in football is trash and has been for many years now. I mean San Jose State, Tulsa, Louisiana, Coastal Carolina and Buffalo are perennial top 25 powerhouses...or was it because of COVID?
  3. Don't get me wrong, I would take Pitts at #8 if he fell and the QB or Sewell are all gone. But to trade up (a very EXPENSIVE trade up) for a player that may get 10 touches a game????
  4. You mean like Hurney dumb? I agree, BTW.
  5. Notre Dame is in the ACC in football (besides 2020 due to Covid)?
  6. Let's hope Erving and Elflein can keep Darnold upright long enough to pass it to Pitts. I won't hold my breath. I mean unless we unleashing the TE bubble screen attack on the League.
  7. Clemson can only play the ACC schedule they are given regardless if the rest of the conference sucks. I tell people (I live in the heart of Clemson country) it's like 10 tune-up games for the Bowl Series run. Should their players have an asterisks by their credentials too?
  8. The problem with that is writers "journalists" get by with such nonsense now and people usually don't bat an eye. I ReAdZ iT oN ThA InTeRNeT! Trash like this article is everywhere nowadays and it is hardly confined to sports writers. Why? Absolutely zero accountability for he content they put out there no matter how ludicrous, false and potentially damaging it is.
  9. 28 passing, 14 rushing totaling 42 TDs.
  10. Yes I have. Let's see him do that in the NFL without getting planted or picked. I mean, the NFL is no Coastal Carolina.
  11. Oh I thought he went all Marty Hurney and starting blabing about his draft crush. I got REALLY good at mocking the Panthers the last few years just by reading/listening to Hurney's interviews. Will Grier...I would have put money down on that pick I was so sure of it.
  12. He's a solid 3rd rounder, so he's in no way a sleeper, I agree. I would love to draft him if we didn't already have Moton and bigger needs. I have mocked him a few times in the instance that a long-term deal with Moton can't be reached. I have consistently mocked him in the 3rd round.
  13. I mean, considering the CBS dude said they would give us their #9 pick, that's not nearly as ridiculous.
  14. Dude with a G-spot????? Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
  15. So WE would facilitate the move to sweeten the deal for them to take Teddy plus get picks. I could go for that. I was looking at it from Denver's perspective. It's roughly 50 points which is an end of round 4 value. They won't give their fouth pick so it would have to be round 5 and one of their three 7th rounders. We still lose out on some value, BUT would accomplished two things: it gets Teddy out of Carolina and we recoup a couple picks this year that we lose out on in next years draft. Granted these are later round selections, but in terms of net picks, we would only be on the hook for Darnold's 2nd in terms of real value.
  16. Yes it's possible, but why? What would be the incentive is what I am asking?
  17. Oops, I forgot completion percentage: 65% or higher.
  18. Yeah, I was nervous they had found some old Hurney notes in the office. Since then the FA moves have made more sense or have at least been practical/economical. Man were those first two signings some serious head-scratchers.
  19. Nobody would argue that in all seriousness. If they did it would be trolling or out of pure ignorance about the Panthers. If you reached hard enough, maaaaaaybe corner could be argued, but that's still a stretch.
  20. We may even cut Teddy, so why would they give us a first round pick for him when they can get him as a free agent if they play the waiting game? Crazy.
  21. I guess Lance decided to do this because his was so early and the others have decided to one-up each other by adding a second one. His will be the final one now. I'm sure he's got some crazy throw drawn up against a non-existent pass rush that everyone went crazy over in the Zach Wilson Pro Day. Wilson would have been planted in the turf doing all that running around in the backfield and probably would have been picked throwing back against the grain. Sure it looks impressive when there is ZERO defense. He may even do non-throwing workouts too. I think that hurt him by opting out the first time around when the other QBs with later Pro Days decided they would participate.
  22. Sewell simply because Pitts can't get the ball if Darnold is fertilizer for the turf on passing downs. We have talent with Anderson, DJ Moore and CMC, they need more just 1 second to get open.
  23. This is my mock version 3.0 for week 3 leading up to the draft. This is the one I personally would like to see happen, not what I think will happen. That one will be next week and my final mock for this thread. #8- QB Trey Lance-NDSU: (He slips past the 9ers and Falcons; nobody moves up, so we take him) #44 *TRADE w/ Dallas* G/C Quinn Mieinerz-UW-Whitwater: (Randunz and Cosmi are gone and a run on corners leave a void in value--we trade back to recoup the loss of our 4th next year) #73- LT Brady Christensen BYU (LT needy teams have already pounced, so we get our LT here) #113- CB Robert Rochell-Central Arkansas #138*Dallas*- CB Marco Wilson-Florida #151-DT Bobby Brown(1-tech)-Texas A&M #193- DT Cameron Sample- (3-tech) Tulane #222- DE Elerson Smith- Northern Iowa Got the QB, LT and center with needed depth on the D-line and corner. This would make me very happy with our draft!
