61-58 at half. At least we closed the gap. Looks like PJ’s three point shooting is keeping us in the game.

39-27 Rockets end of first quarter. I can’t get the game where I’m at, but is ANYONE playing defense in this game?
-
Yeah, Wemby is still learning how to move in his body. 7’3 at 200 lbs made Kevin Durant look bullky. I can’t see him lasting 82 games a year for a career. He played well in the clutch, I’ll give him credit. (No points in most of the 1st half though). Again, I’ll take Brandon Miller over Wemby straight-up right now. Much better shooter and playmaker.

LaMelo/B-Miller/Miles/PJ/Mark… …with Ish/Terry/Hayward/Thor/Richards off the bench? Damn.

Official Trade Deadline & Speculation Thread
HardcoreHokie replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
Having grown up a Redskins fan in the DMV and then living in Charlotte for a long time…it kills me how my Redskins family doesn't understand that patterning after the Panthers is comical. Ron Rivera is their current head coach with almost GM power. Marty Hurney is the Redskins current Executive VP of Football Player Personnel…and still a yes-man to Ron (for the 3rd time?). How many times in NFL history has a GM gotten fired, rehired by his own team…then that coach gets fired…and the coach basically re-hires that GM (who is technically his own boss)? **Getting to hire your boss must be fun!!!** Doing it three times with two different organizations is Three Stooges hilar. Only twice in NFL history has a team with a losing record made the playoffs: 1.) Carolina with Ron Rivera 2.) Washington with Ron Rivera Stats that legends are made of. Panthers are comical and Washington just copies their failures, which is beyond belief. Marty Hurney is the -
Spurs absolutely stole this game against the Suns. They never lead once until 1.2 seconds left in the game. Spurs were down 20+ most of the game…and then they stole the W from Kevin Durant (literally). Wemby is gonna get a lot of credit today and tomorrow, but he’s got a long way to go and I’m not sure he can hold up in long seasons. I will straight-up take Brandon Miller over Wemby *right now with our current roster*. The current Charlotte Hornets are better setup for the next 2-4 years than the current Spurs. And I’ll take Miller over Wemby straight up right now. Nevermind Scoot.

I was wondering the same thing. Williams played like 18 minutes dominating in the first half (18 pts and 7 boards off of 8/8 shooting)…and then played almost no minutes in the second half. At least that’s what ESPN’s game cast was showing (I couldn’t get the game here). What happened?

You got your 20 points. Still 3rd quarter.

16 points at halftime, leading scorer in the game so far in 15mins off the bench.

Kyle Bailey says Tepper isnt happy, wants changes now.

Just pay an extra billion or so Tepper, will be worth it in the long-run. -

Serious scenario…if you’re worth $21 billion and it’s going up billions every year…can’t you make an outside-the-box move? Tepper is the 35th wealthiest PERSON in America, far wealthier than even most pro sports owners (Jerry Jones ain’t even close). Panthers are worth $4 billion Chiefs are worth $4.3 billion Bills are worth $3.7 billion Lions are worth $3.6 billion Bengals are worth $3.5 billion (last in NFL) As a $21 billionaire businessman, can’t you write a check and swap these businesses (players, front office, contracts, name, branding, etc) and move the current Panthers to Buffalo, etc and bring the Buffalo etc organization to Charlotte? Instead of trading players, swap the whole damn thing and let’s go…! The NFL Salary cap doesn’t allow the rich to buy titles like it does in many other sports, but there are usually ways ($$$ outside of player contracts) around everything… -
How many years before X.com is referenced without the phrase “formerly known as Twitter” by every single media outlet?

Anyone unhappy with Bryce today, Mac Jones is now available.

30 fantasy points! (joking) /replied to wrong poster, messed that one up!/

I hate Notre Dame as much as anyone, but saying they aren’t good or not playoff worthy is a trash take. They had Ohio State BEAT with 1 second left in the game, just couldn’t get that stop. If they do, everyone is talking about ND. Opposite mojo with the Duke game today…Notre Dame was DONE if Duke converts. 4th and 16 with seconds left. Both are good teams this year. Sucks about Duke’s QB. Also, #1 Georgia easily could have lost today in the final minute. Parity is good. One play at the end can change the outcome.

Just glad you didn’t say a 300-burger. That new slang trend is cringe worthy.

He’s looking for an AirBnB in Charlotte

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LwygNqv0gI8 Bryce Young has an NFL arm. This narrative that he doesn’t is bogus and will go away eventually.

ESPN Trade Machine is always a fun time. Could you imagine?

“Super Bowl winning backup quarterback” Damn that sounds like a gig. He got a ring in L.A. as a third stringer, can’t knock that. -

It’s 2023, you win in the NFL with elite safeties and punters. None of those other positions you mentioned matter anymore.
