I said he likely won't make it. He's 3rd round QB who won't play or likely practice most of rookie year. If Baker ays well then obviously the job is his. If he doesn't and Sam continues to be Sam then we're likely back to drafting another QB. The odds aren't in his favor. No need to be sensitive about a fairly objective take.

That's how I feel. I'm not even upset over it because I don't know if our staff is any good at evaluating QB talent and I'm certainly not sold on the idea that they can develop someone. They took their shot. How it works out is TBD, but I'm not hopeful.

Corral likely won't make it. But the trade up for him was to placate fans knowing we would go into the season with only Darnold. The team panicked and we've wasted another valuable draft pick on a QB who won't offer us wins. Pretty standard for this org.

It's better than creating a new thread over the same idea. Last year our starting QB Sat out pretty much the entire preseason and Rhule also opted to take the position that joint practice was more important than the preseason game. I wonder if folks hold the same idea dear going into week 2s preseason game and it looks like we may be taking a similar path.

Corral isn't likely to make any impact this season. So Rhule seems to be okay with the idea of making Corral "earning" his reps. The safest takeaway is this is just further confirmation of what we already knew: Rhule doesn't value rookies. Rhule doesn't value people who aren't "his guys."

We were always going to bring in a vet to be the starter. We were always Going to have Sam on the roster. There should be no expectation that Corral would see early reps over a QB who took the Browns to playoffs, a guy we traded multiple picks for whose making 18.5 million, and a backup who has won when he's been thrown out there. We didn't need to draft him and he's going 5i languish as a result.

The guy was a project. He still is. People oversold themselves on him as they always do here. He's struggling where folks expected and as a result he looks worse where guys thought he'd excel.

1.) People want us to suck so Rhule gets fired 2.) have you paid attention to this team since Cam's arm was sent to the nether realm? 3.) people want corral to be the future so baker has to suck.

He's the backup. He was the starter until earlier today.

Team sucks. Rhule is fired. New coach comes in and wants to draft his own QB. Team is good. Rhule stays. They extend the starting QB. Team is average: Everything is bad.

I think he'll be good enough for us to bring back especially if we win enough that Rhule can point to "The process."

He's just saying he's going to put in the work and continue to play with a chip on his shoulder like.he did before signing his contract and doesn't care what you huddlers think.
