  1. Great stand by the Defense after giving up the big play off the broken sack
  2. They are selling out versus the run. Bryce is going to have to win this game.
  3. Yeah just go ahead and give Jonathan Taylor the MVP already
  4. Bryce has the clutch gene no one can argue that. The problem is that we wouldn't be in half of these situations if Bryce was throwing for more than 120 yards a game. I like Bryce and I hope he can figure it out, but you can't consistently win high level NFL games throwing for less than 200 yards. I thought he turned the corner last year after his benching as it looked like he and Dave had the confidence in each other to throw the ball down the field. I don't know where that has been this year, but it seems they've forced Bryce into a checkdown game manager. It's leading to wins so that's a good thing but when push comes to shove late in the year when things get down, we really need to open up the playbook and let Bryce sink or swim and prove he's the guy going forward.
  5. The Saints are going to be without 3 starting Offensive Linemen. Derrick Brown and the rest of the Dline are going to dominate up front and hold the Saints offense in check and force their rookie QB into a mistake or 2. I do however think our offense struggles more than expected as the Saints do have a decent run defense. We look like the better team the whole day, but our offense struggles and that keeps the final score looking closer than it should feel. Something like 13 - 3 or 17-6.
  6. Derek Carr coming out of his 1-year retirement is my Darkhorse candidate. Although I feel like a move for a QB worth anything is highly unlikely as Bryce is well liked and viewed as the teams unquestioned starter by his teammates. We will probably see Mike White resigned and another JAG veteran backup brought in the replace Andy Dalton.
  7. Tampa's next 4 games are against the Pats, Bills, Rams and Cardinals. It's very likely that they could lose 2 or 3 games through that stretch. If we can win the next 2 games versus the Saints and Falcons and split between the 49ers and Rams, we will have a real shot at winning this division.
  8. If Derek Carr decided to unretire I'd prefer him over all the other Veteran QB's available. He needed to take a year off for shoulder surgery but choosing to call it a retirement helped saved the Saints a bunch of cap.
  9. We are back to planned endzone celebrations instead of just being shocked to be in there. What a time to be a Panthers Fan.
  10. If we close the year out strong, I'd like to see Canales have a shot at Coach of the Year.
  11. I wonder what the true state of Chuba's calf is? I remember it being mentioned a couple of times last year that it was something they were managing then after the Cardinals game last year we put him on IR. He then reinjured it this year. That would seem to explain why he looks slower and less explosive than in years past. Chubas running style was a one cut explode through the hole type of back and it just doesn't look like he has that ability right now.
  12. Seeing how well Rico has been playing in this offense part of me wonders what a healthy Jonathon Brooks could've done. I hope he can get healthy and rolling cause he's easily the most physically gifted RB on our team.
  13. Rico is 3rd in the NFL in rushing despite only being the main back for 3 games. He's been the more physical back between him and Chuba and he just seems to set a certain tone of physicality when he's the one carrying the football. You have to find a way to bring him back and sort out the other pieces after that. I think you have to deal Chuba by the deadline while his value is still somewhat modest. If we wait till the off-season other teams will just prefer to wait and see what's in the draft.
  14. I'd be open to trading Chuba but not for pennies on the dollar. The max we'd be offered is like a 4th or a 5th and that's not enough especially with the dead cap we'd have to eat if we did trade him. Chuba ran for 1200 yards last year and has been solid the years before that and I don't think we should just give him away for nothing. Now if a team like the Pats come forward with a real offer, I'd be open to listening.
  15. We look competitive on D that's a huge improvement over last year. If the Offense can put together a drive or 2 we have shot to win this.
