    Also just thinking backwards, when has Burns really made a big difference in a game? Can you think of a time when he's terrorized anyone like Myles Garrett terrorized Baker? I feel like Derrick Brown already has more notches in his belt for that.

    Agreed. He was outshined by Hassan Reddick last season. I think it's a bit sensational to say the guy is a JAG or whatnot. He is a good player. But is he worth a contract that warrants building the team around him? Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    Burns is a good player, but it would be a mistake to make him the cornerstone of the defense. He's due for a massive contract. I'd take the picks and run. 2 firsts and change is an overpay.

    For 2 firsts and some change, I think you gotta at least consider trading him. That is a haul.

    Who are the top corners available? We could always take another shot at Russell Wilson in the 3rd or 4th round.

    Why do we need a RB? Just pick up an undrafted one. Replacement level backs are going to be fine. If we can run block, it doesn't matter who's carrying the ball.

    This trade is the NFL GM equivalent of making a bunch of bad financial decisions, so you have to take your best asset to the pawn shop and take what you can get. People can do mental gymnastics about how a late 2nd and late 3rd is a "haul", but when you zoom out, this trade is really a capstone of a very poorly run team.
