Exactly, whats the point of a 9ish win season with either on a one year deal? You going to reup either on a new multi year contract if he wins 9 games? You going to hitch your wagon long term to Baker or Jimmy g? We are dumb but I doubt we are that dumb at this point. I have to imagine there have been some lessons learned along the way. Baker and/or Jimmy give this franchise zero value in 2022 and going forward.

His knee would swell during the season as well. A lot of wear and tear already.

He is 100% right that a rookie qb is not going to save Rhules job. Its just going to saddle the next coach with a qb they probably didnt want and waste a year for that rookie because he has to learn another system

I am not seeing anyone paying the price for #6 this year. There just isnt that much high end talent that could slip to us and I dont see anyone giving us fair value.

I would bet money that Darnold is our starting qb week 1 at this point. No rookie, no injured Jimmy and no Baker can stop this train. Might as well embrace it and see this puppy through. We (rhule and co) traded valuable assets and now are paying out the ass for darnold, on top of singing his praises for a year. Make it work rhule

I dont think bias is the word you are looking for here. I think the bulk of us just realize our situation as a franchise and think there is simply no way we can afford to draft a kid like willis. We just are not set up for that type of project. His flaws are in direct contrast with what we need at the moment.

I think he is damaged goods at this point. However he has never had a good line and he has had what 5 different oc's at this point. Neither we or the jets did him any favors
