  1. I prefer to use the term somewhat misguided or perhaps temporarily confused. Bless his little heart.
  2. What a fool believes The wise man has the power to reason away - The Doobie Brothers
  3. Yeah, no he isn't. Rhule demanded the power to select his own staff as a condition of employment. Anyone believe Rhule wants someone in the building that knows more about football than he does? After two years it sure doesn't look like it.
  4. Also, Arizona didn't waste precious time with a incompetent head coach, they fired him after one year. Tepper needs to take note.
  5. No way can Dave Tepper be foolish enough to fall for Rhule's Snake Oil Salesman pitch (twice). Can he?
  6. Might not come to pass, but hopefully Rhule only has a few more weeks remaining in Carolina.
  7. There's always the Hurney factor to consider.
  8. Definitely the best option among those currently on our roster. Don't want to see this team trade away any more draft picks for QBs until the O line is properly addressed.
  9. At this point putting any QB behind this line is like making a sacrifice to the gods. Pick a LT.
  10. Arizona not spiking the ball before the last play was surprising.
  11. Wasn't meant to be. Rams get the win.
  12. Arizona looking to pull a rabbit out of the hat.
  13. At this point it is incumbent on Dave Tepper to stop the bleeding. That translates into getting rid of Rhule and bringing in an experienced NFL coach with a proven record of success.
  14. I've gotta believe there is already a lot here for a new coaching staff to work with. Bring in/draft a couple of competent linemen and an average or better QB and this team is at least competitive enough to be entertaining. That should give most fans hope for the future. In 2023, the second year of the new coaching staff, they could make some serious changes as needed.
  15. I can see it now... Tag team QBs. At least the wrestling fans would love it.
  16. Can't fault the motivation for bringing the guy back. Cam instantly energized the fan base and his new teammates, even if it was only for a few games. Unfortunately, it appears for the moment as if Cam is the hero in a Greek Tragedy.
  17. Yes it is. At the end of the day, all emotions aside, the Panthers are selling entertainment. If the product they produce is of poor quality, consumers will eventually find other places to spend their dollars. Tepper has a chance in the next few weeks to take the bull by the horns or do nothing and watch as vampire squid, Matt Rhule, sucks the life out of this franchise.
  18. What Tepper does going forward will likely determine how I spend my Sundays next season. Life is short and I simply can't imagine spending my valuable free time watching Rhule try and muddle his way through another season.
  19. Yeah, it's Tepper's move. He can either hire an outside NFL consultant to help him out of this mess, or try and figure it all out with the help of his current GM/office management, or he can simply double down on Matt Rhule. The first option would seem to be best considering Tepper's record so far, with option two being less than optimal, but far better than option three.
  20. Pure speculation, but if Tepper was visibly disappointed during the earlier games this season (he was) and now he is dispassionate, I wouldn't read that as a good sign if I'm Matt Rhule. Tepper's detachment may indicate he's already come to a decision about the future of his current HC. Then again, it could just be wishful thinking on my part.
  21. From the article: Hopefully Dave Tepper has had enough of Rhule's reign and is now doing what is necessary to bring in an extremely professional and highly competent NFL coaching staff for the 2022 season.
  22. Maybe, but I doubt it. The self-confidence and ego required to lead a bunch of alpha males likely wouldn't allow a viable coaching candidate to believe it would ever happen to him.
