  1. With each passing week and presser from Rhule, it becomes clearer and clearer that he has never faced this kind of expectations before. All of his college jobs have been programs that were in the cellar or in turmoil and expectations weren't that great. In the NFL, it's magnified 1000x and Rhule is in unfamiliar territory. He is grasping at anything just to say something. I think Rhule just sucks at game planning and is not an X/O's guy. The only "culture" and "process" he is building is a losing one.
  2. How does Burns make the pro bowl but Reddick didn't? Statistically Reddick is better. Congrats to Burns though.
  3. I like this. Both Sam and Cam have 5 rushing TDs this year. Put both of them together on the field for QB read QB option? lol Is Sam going to run it or is Cam going to run it? How is that for a spark to the run game?
  4. What all of this is showing is that Rhule and his staff are completely out coached and clueless on a weekly basis. Wrong play call in that situation is on the coaching staff. Burns said in the loss to Atl that the RB was always chipping him when he tried to rush which negated his pressure. Robby Anderson said that Bills had a lot of CB blitzes which affected Cam. Anderson also called out the coaching staff early in the season for not recognizing CB coverage, I think it was the Eagles game? All of the players recognize these adjustments and the coaching staff are too dumb to adjust in game or plan for it on a weekly basis. This is why college coaches can't make it in the NFL, as long as they have better athletes on the field they'll more than likely win. In the NFL, you actually have to plan for opponents.
  5. I think the biggest issue that ultimately will end Rhule's tenure as HC is his lack of a franchise QB. NFL head coaching career are tied directly to the quality of their QB. Rhule's fault is that he gambled on Teddy and Darnold. He honestly thought that they could be franchise QBs or that they can be salvaged = dead wrong. Franchise QBs don't hit the free agent market, only Tom Brady. He tried to salvage this season with signing Cam but Cam is also not the answer, this reeks of desperation. Maybe Rhule thinks his culture or process can be good enough to put any average QB in and succeed. I guarantee that if he does not have an answer for the QB this offseason, he will not last a full season next year. I don't think Tepper will fire him and will give him one last chance to correct his flaws. Year 3, Rhule's seat will be the hottest of all the hot seats!
  6. Some coaches are just meant to remain in the college ranks. Nick Saban may be the best college coach but he flunked big time in the NFL. One theme I noticed about college coaches coming to the NFL is that they want all controlling power like how they had it in college. Nick Saban, Chip Kelly, Urban Meyer, Matt Rhule all wanted overriding power in decision making. You can do that in college but not in the NFL.
  7. Could be worse, Urban Meyer could have tried to grab his ass! I jest, Urban Meyer is a POS.
  8. I think we go O-line in 1st no matter if we pick top 10 or trade down. Cam is not in our long term plans no matter how the rest of this season plays out, why pay him for one more year? We already have Sam for $18 million, besides having Sam at QB would be our best chance for #1 overall next year and Bryce Young! I hate to say this but we are not competing for a Super Bowl next year, might as well acquire asset and talent.
  9. If we plan to build the line and draft O-line in the first round this year and wait for a QB next year, that means another losing season with Rhule next year. You don't find franchise QBs outside the top 10 very often. We would have to suck the following year with Rhule to be able to draft a top 10 QB. The huddle would explode with another losing season with Rhule as HC.
  10. What is everyone so mad about? Whatever Rhule says, he does the opposite! Rhule says BC arms are too small to play LT = BC will play LT this Sunday! "We're not going to sign Cam = sign Cam." "I have confidence in Joe Brady = fire Joe Brady" R...E...L...A...X... LOL!
  11. My question is if Rhule is fired, does Fitterer go with him? Didn't Rhule have a big say in who the GM was going to be and wanted a guy to complement him?
  12. I agree with this assessment the most. All of these players beside Carter have shown flashes of talent and physical ability to dominate in the NFL. Every one of these players issue is consistency and lack of focus, which speaks to lack of experience. Dropped passes by receivers, missed tackles by defensive players, playing out of position = lack of focus and poor coaching. Rhule may be a program builder, but I haven't seen him be the genius game planner that Belichick is and that is my worry about winning consistently for this franchise.
  13. Sounds like coaches also need to be coached up! That responsibility falls on the head coach to get his staff in line and on the same page. Players aren't the only ones who need to be coached, some coaches need it too.
  14. I think every time the Huddle critiques or complains about a Panthers player, coach, etc, we're talking about them in their role not as a human being. As much as we bash Sam Darnold, we bash him as a player and not as a person, I've never met the guy, but I've seen him suck at QB.
  15. But he was eating cereal this time last week!! Besides, it wasn't a penalty that affected the game.
  16. Honestly, I think the bigger impact on the game today was having a healthy CMC back. Dude had more yards alone than the entire Cardinals offense. His simple 5-8 yard runs help the O-line, quick check down passes helped the QB and the O-line. We go as CMC goes now. We just needed a QB not to sabotage us with turnovers. I don't expect Cam to come in and carry this team, his energy and stable QB play is all that we need right now.
  17. You know Coach Rhule is going to be calling him Phillip now!
  18. That's the one thing that PJ just can't do today is turn the ball over. He just needs to manage the game, give it to CMC and don't lose the game.
  19. WTF is this? Just having Cam backs makes our defense play better too? lol
  20. Coach Rhule must be thinking, "I could have had this QB from the beginning?"
  21. Cam just being on the sideline pumps up his teammates! The players feed off his energy. This entire season we haven't seen Darnold high five his teammates and pump them up like Cam does!
