Commentators listing all the things Wilks is like that makes a good coach. Doesn't matter if he is from Charlotte. Doesn't matter if he went to App State. Doesn't if he is a local person. Doesn't make a good coach. Sick of people listing this on reasons he should be a head coach.

It is a feel good story and the media, and local media, are running with it. Most, if not all, do not look at the stats that interim HC the majority of the time do not work out when they become the full time HC. Jeff Fisher is the ONLY former interim HC to have any real success and that was in the 90s. Players and media and Wilks supporters are only following their emotions and not looking at the big picture. History has not been kind to former interim HC and Wilks will likely be another failure. I hope Tepper has learned from Rhule and not think he be the one to hire the second coming of 90s Jeff Fisher. But if we hire Wilks the team will likely be playing like a team from the 90s.

If they hire him they damn well better be contenders next year. Because that is the only way I will ever fully support Wilks. But they won’t be and Wilks will bring stable mediocrity and Rivera levels of ineptitude.

Harbaugh was in the NFL and only left because of conflict Niners GM and owner. But you keep thinking Wilks is gonna do anything and I’ll keep living in reality that interim HC that had the tag removed almost never work out. Harbaugh is not a “college coach” like Rhule is. The comparison is asinine.

Can not wait till Monday and beyond. This season sucked but the off-season is gonna be interesting and chaotic.

No coach has ever had a “prove it” contract. Wilks is another Rivera. Panthers fans should want better. Not return to the same poo we had 3 years ago.

When you throw less than 20 times a game and most of your passes are screens or short to intermediate passes that have a high completion rate then yeah, Darnold is efficient.

Well it will start to get interesting Monday. I do agree with what you are saying. Harbaugh is so weird he could accept the job with us and the decide to return to Michigan. I would not mind McDaniels. Dolphins would be so stupid to fire him.

Would be funny if that idiot fired him and then didn’t get Harbaugh. I still think Panthers are the most likely team to get Harbaugh. With the Broncos and Colts a close second and third.

The fact he was having Tua playing at such a high level is amazing. Too bad it seems like injuries are gonna be the main reason for the collapse. Hard to win when the team can’t stay healthy.

Not unusual for an Interim HC to have some success after a HC was fired. It is what happens when the coach is given the full time job that the wheels fall off. If Wilks gets the job the most I can expect from him, given interim HC track record, is maybe a playoff appearance every once in a while but he will never make the Super Bowl. Guy is gonna get out coached by better coaches and I guarantee people will start complaining about Wilks the same way they complained about Rivera. Because they are the same coach.
