Offensive line must be improved. Cousins is balling this year. 10 TDs to 2 INTs.

Fields is a rookie. So the jury is still out. Cannot use that excuse on Darnold.

That was a poor decision.

Which makes me very worried because if Darnold ultimately doesn’t work out what does that say about a coaching staff that has failed twice.

I don’t know. Theses last two QBs seem to be 100 percent Rhule. Tepper seems to really want a franchise QB but he keeps defaulting to Rhules decisions. Rhule seems to not see much value in a franchise QB and maybe that is because he is a college coach.

Fields may of shown something that made the coaches discouraged but he would be a rookie with no former damage that could be brought up and molded into a franchise QB and they could coach whatever they saw out of him potentially. But 3 years of tape made them think, yeah this Darnold guy looks like the real deal. Even though he is damaged goods, smh. With a solid O-line Sam can be a decent starter but he will never be Elite.

Darnold isn't a rookie.

So when are people gonna stop using the O-line as an excuse?

I don't know I remember even during down years Jake was fine. Most years we didn't make the playoffs with him we were injured to heck.

For me it is week 6. Cause by that point you should know what your team is. If Darnold sucks next week we will know what he is.

Unfortunately there really are no good rookie QBs this year.

People are gonna just keep making these same excuses even after he has "time". Where were all of these excuses when Bridgewater was our QB? I didn't like Bridgewater but I am seeing a lot of hypocrisy. Maybe Darnold just isn't a good QB, like Bridgewater.

Whatever you keep telling yourself Darnold is a good QB. He is a joke and people like you need to realize this.

O-Line sucks, Darnold suck and we can only be good if CMC is on the field. Absolutely pathetic.

Listen I get it people want Sam to be a long term option. We may be able to succeed with him if we have a running game and an Elite defense. He could be our Jimmy G. But I, personally, would like a QB that can take over a game and unfortunately they are few and so far between. Every single time Sam throws I hold my breath.

Sam Darnold projected stats look very weird. Right now it is at 4700 20TDs and 12 INTs. Don’t think I have ever seen that before if it comes to fruition. Usually a 4000+ yard QB throws for 30+ TDs.

I am pretty at peace right now. I think he is talking about beating an actual playoff contender. Yes we beat the Saints but I don’t know if I’d call the Saints a playoff team. They are screaming 7-10. I think we will have our statement game soon.
