  1. 9th pick- Denver moves up due to fear of someone trading with Carolina to get a QB. Denver selects T. Lance. Carolina picks up an additional 3rd round pick for 2022. Carolina selects Micah Parsons. This team while not fortunate in many departments has had the fortune of AMAZING MLB play (Morgan, Beason, Kuechly) and while Thompson is an athlete, he's no MLB. Fitz knows what an impact MLB can do (Wagner) 39th- Liam Eichenberg OT Notre Dame- Sewell is gone, Slater is not worth the 8/9 pick but Carolina needs to solidify OT if they want to give Darnold a chance. Erving is a JAG, not a long term fix 70th (From Eagles)- Carolina moves up to pounce on Jay Tufele, IDL USC. One of the best defensive players in the Pac 12 Fitts knows he wants to bring pressure to the QB. Burns, Brown, Reddick, Tufele with YGM and even KK coming in rotation (comes back as vet min) This draft will be spent on fixing a huge hole in the D between MLB, DT and fixing the OL and investing draft capital on LT and later rounds some road grading guards 4th-7th will be CB,S,Guard draft capital A draft like this sets the stage for this team to compete sooner rather than later and accelerates if Darnold can be a Tannehill/Cousins/Carr level of talent
  2. Fitt knew Teddy B was NOT the answer Fitt was not going to mortgage our future and trade away arguably one of the best non-QB offensive weapons to get Watson Fitt was not going to give away early round draft capital in this draft knowing our 2nd this year is a borderline first Fitt was not going to send the farm for a completely unknown rookie QB and have no draft assets to help build the team Fitt went out and got a 3rd overall pick 3 years ago for peanuts, still on a rookie deal and has given this team 2 years to evaluate whether or not this is our guy Darnold may be a bust (I personally doubt it) but so could sure fire's like Lawrence, Wilson (guy played against creampuffs), Lance, Fields. But a miss with Darnold costs you a 2022 second, a miss with any of those 4 rookies and giving up what you have to give, that sets your team back nearly a decade (ala Washington with RGIII) We have a good GM folks
  3. This is who was entrusted to coach and manage a #3 overall pick. Everyone thought Tannehill was hot trash, he left a dumpster of a coach and is having a resurgence
  4. He had NOTHING to work with at the armpit of NFL teams known as the Jets He had a deranged coach, look at Tannehill when he left MIA and went to TEN. Gase is POISON He comes to a team where he doesn't have to be 'the guy' he just needs to give it to studs like CMC, Robbie, Moore This isn't a bad trade, a bad trade is getting the Everette Brown's of the world in the second round Look at what backup QBs get traded for, career journeymens like Sam Bradford. Look at what was spent for a 30+ year old in Stafford This was a no risk pick and not mortgaging the present and future on a complete unknown rookie
  5. He's been making bup bup bup moves but doesn't appear to be an asshole like Gettleman was
  6. Warren Buffett Watson's stock was at an all-time high (2-3 1sts and players like Burns/CMC) he's still a top 5QB. If Brady can get past deflated football's and Manning can get past pressing his genitals on a trainer, Watson will be fine. An apology, half season suspension, whatever but if he can be had now for 2 (1sts) I'm sending those picks faster than you can yell light pressure on the Swedish
  7. Cam has NO EXCUSES not to produce next year
  8. On a cheaper deal and if he’s right then hell yes bring SVCKAFREE back home E482D5D0-147D-4EB4-B345-080CAD487C46.webp
  9. For them to release him He’s done
  10. Good on him... Secure the bag and get another payday in 4 years
  11. Was the NFL the brains behind having Remmers block Von Miller solo in 2015 or JPP in 2021?
  12. This is a classic AZ Cardinals move... overpaying on an aged veteran Emmitt Smith T. Suggs Joey Porter Kurt Warner Carson Palmer Watt has missed 8+ games in 3 of the past 4 seasons
  13. No Watson No mega trade for a rookie QB then you roll with Teddy B and go all in next year for a QB
  14. Miami in my opinion is more attractive than CAR opening, they are ready to CONTEND They were gifted the draft pick from HOU over the Tunsil trade, that pick holds high draft currency The Dolphins made the playoffs with Rex Grossman'esque play from Tua, while he is more mobile than Rex Grossman, I don't see this young man translating to an elite NFL QB The Dolphins are projected to have a Top 5 Defense this year https://sportsnaut.com/nfl-defense-rankings/ The Dolphins have over $31 million in cap space and can free up more CAR has better offensive weapons in CMC, Moore, Anderson but MIA can spend the draft and FA to get Watson complimentary pieces I live in Charlotte but the honesty is, if I am 24 years old with millions in the bank, do I want to hang out at South Beach or Trade & Tryon street
  15. At this point it’s tossing money over damaged goods
  16. What significant mistakes do you feel he’s made?
  17. Overall thoughts on the guy, I am HAPPY this guy is the one writing the checks Never in my 20+ years following the team have I seen such a dedication of resources to having an overall great organization True training facilities No cap restraints on paying for the best possible coach out there (Rhule contract was INSANE) Diligence in the GM process Refusal of mediocrity Finding a loophole to "safeguard" the Richardson statue Soon to be new stadium You don't buy $76 million dollar homes because you are fixated on Jeans Fridays He does have a "bit" of Snyder in him with his comments at time but the guy is a hands on owner who is committed to running a first class organization. I would rather have a guy like him then a cheap ass like the Brown family (Bengals owner) Scott Fitterer worked in SEA when Paul Allen owned the Seahawks who at the time was the richest owner in the NFL and now comes to Carolina and works currently for the richest owner in the NFL. Having an owner with deep pockets and a desire to win is important https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/2020/06/buffalo-bills-owner-no-negative-financial-situation-will-impact-franchises-ability-to-extend-sean-mcdermott-brandon-beane.html
  18. Releasing busts like Kalil Releasing Steve Smith Releasing Cam Newton Releasing DeAngelo Williams Releasing Jonathan Stewart The #Panthers cleared almost $13 million in cap space with simple restructures on the contracts of DT Kawaan Short and OL Trai Turner.- Done by Hurney in 2019
  19. So Gettleman didn't come in and cut dead weight? Hurney didn't release players like Cam Scott F seems by all indications that he is going to be solid but moves like this happen every offseason
  20. Eagles WONT be drafting a QB this year they have the worst cap space in the league they will likely trade this pick to acquire more draft capital they will likely have a complete purge of an offseason (Ertz, Jeffrey, Cox, Johnson) and go full tank mode Eagles will have nearly 80 million in cap space 2022 and quite possibly the #1 pick next year due to them having likely having a Carolina’esque 1-15 season this year
