That's every move Morgan has made so far as gm. Almost every player he has drafted or brought in is more of the type of guys that would have worked back when he was playing, not as much now in modern schemes.

Next season? I don't think so. He will be an edge mostly when it matters and they will platoon the others. Now with edge being so deep if there is one in the 2nd or 3rd that they like, take them without hesitation. Wonnum and Clowney probably aren't answers after this season.

Speed I guess, I think most people are talking about quickness. We have none. We have straight line speed at best. Acceleration, deceleration, change of direction, that's what we don't have, like at all. Look what Diontae Johnson did on the field while he was here. If he had kept his head down and played all season he would have had a great season. That's because he had those things and that's what our system needs. Not big guys to throw 59 yard bombs to in double coverage which seems to be what we covet for whatever reason.

I think he would be the panthers version of Luvu. Just a bit more athletic and explosive. True lb on run downs, Edge on passing downs.

The tape on Emanwori isn't so great, he just blew up the combine. Starks has really good tape but underperformed a bit at the combine.

I believe they would take Shemar Stewart at that point. I'm not saying I agree with it, I'm just saying I think that's what dan Morgan does.

There is literally no risk to this move. They are constantly churning the bottom of the roster. Bringing them in has no impact on their tight end decisions for this coming season.

They also have a top receiving tandem in the NFL and a defense that had Mahomes totally flustered. It's hard to compare any style to the Eagles because they have the best roster in the NFL by a fairly large margin.

Most of those guys you listed are going to hurt you just as much in the pass game, also you can't build a defense around your schedule in 1 season.

I get what you're saying but his pass rush win rate is terrible. I get that our run defense and defense in general was awful last year, but leave it to Dan Morgan to sell out to build a defense entirely around stopping the run in the modern nfl.

I hope Pats reach for OT but I think they will take Hunter if he's there. There is a chance though that hunter and Carter are gone at picks 2 and 3. Then pats probably take OT or reach on TMac, I think.

I agree. If you look at that list there are a lot of players that i would say we would probably have ranked really close to the same, and on that list who are you 100% sure won't make it to pick 14 or so? Not many.

I want to take a flyer on Dont'e Thornton on day 3. Is he a RAS guy? Big time, but have him come in sometimes as wr 4 and take the top off the defense running the same 2 or 3 routes every time basically like Metcalf his rookie season. No one is talking about this guy and I think he is definitely my favorite sleeper, and I don't even like big wr normally.

I think a lot of wrs are going to go in the second round before we pick. There are a lot of wr needy teams. I think there will be a big run on them in the late 30s and 40s.

No one is talking about him and at the very worse he can run 3 routes and take the top off the defense as a wr 4. Basically play poor mans rookie Metcalf role

I just don't like taking a risky gadget player at 8. I personally feel like 8 is just a really bad spot and we should try to trade back if possible. All the players that would be really good for us are gone and then the second wave of players that would be good for us are a bunch of equally rated guys who some of them would easily be available at 14 or 15 which is more of their true value if we didn't reach.

I know it's irresponsible and crazy but to move from 8 to 3 and only give up next year's 2nd is pretty tempting. Especially if both Carter and Hunter are on the board. I've started to really like Hunter as a WR so he's grown on me a bit.

I agree. I don't think he's quite a first round lb and all the edge love is based on projection and potential.
