I don't know if he will be a success but his marital past will have no impact whatsoever on his ability to coach and assess/develop talent. I don't even understand how that's a line in the sand for anyone anyway given the number of controversies so many NFL players have been involved in over the years. If anything even vaguely unethical is off limits for you then you should have stopped giving the NFL your viewership dollars years ago.

I don't think it's fair to lump Mingo in with any of the other busts yet. Certainly not if the people doing so are more than willing to give BY a clean slate. The reality is as much as our drafting and development of talent needs to improve so does our leadership across the board. It's fair to wonder if someone like TMJ ever stood a chance here anyway. We are completely devoid of any leaders. As much as Canales will help in this area we also need our #1 pick to step up. He needs to be connected at the hip with his receivers and developing rapport.

As bad as Hurney was Fitterer was so much worse it's comical. For all his foolishness our last legit WR was still a Hurney pick. To have been as abysmal as the Panthers have been at drafting you would think we would have reset the scouting department. As much as I'd like to think positive about Morgan it's difficult to invision us suddenly nailing drafts if we're relying on the same scouts. It also doesn’t help that Morgan worked closely with Fitterer and as far as we know signed off on many of our failures.

Unfortunately you are right. LaMelo is a good young guy all things considered but he's immature which is not uncommon in the NBA. They need to figure it out though because we showed Borrego the door and immediately declined significantly and the knuckleheads that he tried to keep in line are now just having a good time no matter how bad we lose. Oh boy here comes the riff raff. I've been very consistent in terms of my assessment of last years QB class and thoughts on Bryce Young. I want him to succeed I don't want to have wasted what we gave up to select him on top of passing on who looks like a perennial young top 10 QB in CJ Stroud. If you can't handle people discussing the cold hard facts of the situation as it pertains to Bryce that's a you problem. Good luck with that.

It's pointless to try to compare him with other owners. The biggest hurdle in all of this is he's letting his ego and emotion control his decisions to the detriment of the franchise. He's shown no sign of that changing much especially considering he still has his wife heavily involved in operations. At this point all we have to hope for is blind luck that he's finally made a good hire or two. But even if that happens he and his wife still have to stop meddling.
