It was a joke dude relax. Wanting him to succeed and some of the rhetoric here about his future based off one or two games versus an entire career of work that is not so pretty are different things and why many people are giving side eye. We've always known he has arm talent even when he was horrible with the Jets he would still have a few wow throws here and there. He's had those here in the midst of terrible performances. Even if he continues to look better over the next two games I'm still not jumping in the water just yet. I'm eyeing QB's in the first round of the draft no matter what. That's just me.

Oh I don't doubt that at all. That's the majority of guys looking to make a name on Twitter. That was just one of the first things that popped up when I searched Josh Norman 49ers. Like I said previously I was and still am a fan of Norman but I know reality vs fantasy and reality is sooner or later Josh is going to get cooked and some people will act surprised but it is what it is.

Woof. I predict some unkind things being said about Norman on the huddle in the not so distant future.

I like Norman but if you've followed a bit of his career the last few years you know how this ends. I give it about one half before people start to call for him to be cut.

Darnold is a decent backup/bridge option I have no issues with him from a personal standpoint it's the lunacy from some expecting him to become a franchise quarterback at this stage. It's possible but that storyline is stale. See what he does these next two games. From there draft a QB in 2023 no matter what. Simple enough process for me

McAdoo is a genius now? The Darnold extremists are going to great lengths with this cope. I'm very eager to see what Ben and Sam can cook up for us if our run game isn't reaching historic heights.

It has relevancy to the convo because while I agree to this point Sam does show capability to be a backup/bridge QB we don't know if how he is playing is sustainable or if he will revert to old habits when pressure to score points on his own without a powerful run game increases. The situation with Baker is an example of not putting too much stock into a performance one way or another like some people are doing now suddenly thinking we can hitch our wagon to Sam for the foreseeable future and forego drafting another quarterback.

It figures the Cardinals couldn't take care of business. But yeah the refs will definitely look out for Tom if we let the game stay close in the fourth quarter. We really need the pass rush to step up.
