  1. Panthers passing YPG since 2020. 2020 - 19 out of 32 2021 - 30 out of 32 2022 - 30 out of 32 2023 - 32 out of 32 2024 - 30 out of 32 2025 - 21 out of 32 With Adam Thielen out of the picture we are fielding the most productive passing offense since 2020 so you guys who want to cape are going to have a pick one between the QB and the WR's. You can't keep saying the receivers are trash because clearly it's not the case. It clearly shows the investment we've made in surrounding our #1 overall pick with talent.
  2. Everyone but Bryce is trash. Nobody ever helps poor Bryce Young. Not like his running back had a career day or anything. And you guys wonder why you can't get anyone to agree with you.
  3. Dodge deny deflect you say but every time you quote me you bring up my old account like it's some gotcha. Nobody cares. That was years ago. Life moves on. You want to talk about everything but the issues at hand. I'll show up and continue to support the Panthers players that are actually keeping this team competitive. You can keep trying to attack others if you want. Good luck with that.
  4. Passing offense was 32 out of 32 in 2023.
  5. You made a false statement and then try to make it personal when it's pointed out to be a false statement. And it is legitimately hilarious that you continue to call people old who are in your same age group. I don't go to bed at 8:30 buddy. Hope you have a good week!
  6. Watched the whole thing. The best compliment I can give him is he is a nice kid and legitimately humble. He tries. But I also get the sense that the guys around him are just doing what they can to work through the limitations of the situation as best as they can.
  7. There is nothing similar about them other than the height. And Drew Brees had some physicality about him. He actually hit the weight room. That's kind of important too.
  8. Let's see a career compilation instead of one that only shows the games where he "improved" last season. Because we all should be able to agree he regressed.
  9. Also if you begin a comment about the only MVP in franchise history like this but obsessively carry water for Bryce Young I just want you to know I'm giving you hella side eye.
  10. I didn't say any of that so I have no idea what you're so agitated about.
  11. We had the 32nd passing offense with Adam Thielen at 1k receiving yards in 2023 just to be clear. Maybe he just isn't the player at this stage in his career that some of you wanted him to be.
  12. Ginn dropped a lot of footballs. Often multiple times in the same games. And not just contested passes we're talking wide open in his hands. Cam kept going at him. He resurrected Ginn's career. That's what a #1 pick is supposed to do. Elevate those around them.
  13. Imagine if back in 2010 some folks were trying to fight others online over whether Jimmy Clausen was a starting QB. That's where we're at
  14. On the surface given our struggles I get why people would initially hear this and be apprehensive. But we do need players being vocal and being confident and speaking up. That is what builds a culture. Especially when it involves young players getting opportunities which was not always a thing with past coaches. But the head coach still needs to assert authority and take ownership of his group and make smart decisions on gamedays. It's gonna be a long season so we might as well just let it play out and revisit this later.
  15. False. During his best statistical season at Alabama, Bryce completed only 36.1% of passes longer than 20 yards. For comparison, his two predecessors Mac Jones and Tua had respectively completed 58% and 48.6% of throws longer than 20 yards.
  16. PFF has it's uses for certain position groups but it shouldn't be seen as gospel. Sometimes you just have to look at what you're seeing with your own two eyes.
  17. If it were possible to have negative swag somehow Bryce Young could achieve that.
  18. Not the same. Honestly it is disrespectful to even try and make this comparison. People hated him even after we started winning and competing for and in the playoffs. Cam Newton was a driving force in changing the culture of the team for the better. He was also Rookie of the Year and League MVP. He also didn't get any of these extremely ticky tacky roughing the passer calls that QB's are getting today. And there were times where other players were trying to literally take him out of games. It's desperation to keep trying to drag him into this conversation. It's also cringe. Our starting QB isn't Mr. Irrelevant making league minimum. He's the 4th highest paid player on the roster.
  19. The propensity for turning the ball over without the arm talent. We wish Bryce Young had Jameis's arm.
  20. Refs will be in their pocket. Always have to account for that. They are 20th in rush defense. They currently have the worst pass defense in the league. I mean I want to say even Bryce could at least put up 250 or more passing yards given that but man he looked BAD when the pocket collapsed against Miami and they had the 20th pass defense. Just can't expect to consistently get clean pockets like that in this league even with the better OL's. I'd say with this being a home game hopefully our guys will be motivated regardless. We certainly seem to play much better at home. We'll see.
  21. Way too early to tell. We have a ton of cap invested in the OL and we need to see how that group looks against better competition than the worst teams in the league. Same with the defense. Beyond that I can agree that the recent draft picks are showing promise. But there's still an elephant looming large. The QB room. Yeah we're squeaking by teams like the Dolphins but as we get further into our schedule and play teams that have better rosters better QB's better defenses and good coaching staffs we're going to be talking about these things a good bit most likely. Just pace yourselves folks.
  22. Drew Brees and Bryce Young have nothing in common other than Drew was a little bit taller. Other than that even when Brees was near the end he still had a better arm than Bryce Young. And Drew had a different physical build. In his prime it's not even close. Completely different players. It's the same with people saying early on Bryce was a smaller Russell Wilson. Completely different players physically. Both Brees and Wilson clearly regularly hit the weight room through their careers as well. Bryce Young has pretty much zero physical traits and he won't even try to put in some work in the weight room. Three years in a row he shows up looking exactly the same. People can talk about his frame and this and that and in some ways there is validity to it but let's be real there's no excuse for him not to even attempt given his aforementioned limitations. To not even try is the sign of someone who does not want to be great. Which is the complete opposite of what many people had him billed as before the draft. It's inexcusable.
  23. I agree and we should leave no stone unturned in seeking actual competition in the QB room. I would say it should be a given and an automatic assumption that we will do that but sadly we cannot assume that will 100% be the case with the history of decisions by our brain trust.
