  1. Well yeah he wouldn't have covered a good chunk of his salary if he didn't have a lot to prove. If there were a risk to take at a low cost this is how the Panthers should have done it last year instead of rushing for Darnold when no one else wanted him. Nothing to be upset about at this moment let's see what camp looks like.
  2. True but it would be disingenous not to note the fact that Sam Darnold has been a turnover prone disaster from the get go. And absolutely no one at any point in time before the trade was being discussed was like yeah that guy Sam Darnold could be the answer to our prayers.
  3. Some of it is reasonable some isn't. The crap about how he talks or his hairstyle is not difficult to see through that's some of the same stuff we read with Newton. But Robbie's contract size and his repetition of being in the news cycle every time you look up is going to become a worn out act in any city with any fanbase. When you add in his tough time statistically last season it's reminiscent of the days like 2010 where we paid guys just for the sake of it and developed a culture of what can only be described as mediocrity. If he wants to change things the first step is to show fans what was missing last year and that begins on the field not on social media.
  4. People who are afraid to cut him are just tightwads. It isn't your money. If you're mad about the thought of him earning all that for doing nothing well go have a chat with Matt Rhule and Scott Fitterer. They sealed this outcome many months ago. Either way he isn't going to do anything near enough to justify what we paid him. Just get him out of here and end this distracting nonsense.
  5. It's important to temper expectations regardless of personal feelings about Baker or Corral. If neither show the promise we hope for it's back to the draft. Hopefully this whole thing does not become a circus that's bad for the locker room.
  6. Obviously this is the NY Jets fault for starting Sam Darnold too early. It's not like he turned the ball over so many times at USC as well or anything.
  7. You're kidding right? There will be run block holes big enough to fit a tractor trailer through.
  8. Stands to reason they would love for their 2nd round pick to take the next step sooner rather than later. It sure would have been nice to activate him more to see what he might have been able to offer last season.
  9. Every team that does not have a clear proven franchise QB can say the same the QB position runs the NFL. But we are the ones dealing with their former headaches and we've tied up draft picks and salary cap for our troubles.
  10. The only narrative that matters is the Jets removed Darnold and Anderson from the picture and they are in better shape and even finished their season strong nearly defeating the Bucs. While the Panthers are coming off a last place divisional finish and are a bottom three team in the league. It's sad that people are even going to bat for this f*ckery.
  11. It's speculative but you can get the sense they would definitely listen if there were offers. They are putting out hype pieces for Terrace Marshall Jr too. But the more often Robbie makes himself a public story the less likely any team is going to be inclined to inquire about his services.
  12. I wouldn't cut him by any means but you can see why the Jets are much better off without his antics. If he had not gone to Temple he wouldn't be here anyways
  13. Baker has at least won something of note and seen success like winning a playoff game unlike a couple of our highest paid offensive players who have plenty to say despite being amongst the worst in the league. But hate on the guy like he's the problem if it eases the pain.
  14. I'm glad the Hornets didn't pay him all that money but at least Graham is still around the NC area. Unfortunately the only thing to do in Raleigh is get all liquored up. Hopefully he gets it together.
  15. I don't care if you go to games or not that's your business and your choice to funnel your money to Tepper for this current product. But not everyone has to endorse the two New York Jets rejects to be a fan and while you're rambling on about internet tough guys go ahead and poo this post too if it makes you feel better. Enjoy your weekend.
  16. Baker is the least of our worries. We need to take out the Jets trash that is littering a stench cloud in the building.
  17. He's on his third account recycling the same contrarian takes. Could at least mix it up and surprise us from time to time or add some humor.
  18. Ya'll want this to be true but the truth is this org is just an embarrassment. Doesn't matter what he or Sam says neither of them have the value of a bag of doritos around the league. All this does is increase our laughingstock status.
  19. I hear that but Beckham Jr getting a pass has more to do with his talent level than anything. We're dealing with our very own version of drama and bs from a wide receiver but he doesn't have anywhere near the resume to back that up and seemingly nobody wants to acquire his services unlike Odell. We'll see how it works out in the locker room soon.
  20. I can't comment on all that I'm not wading into the abyss here that is microanalyzing his speech or spelling. I don't care how the man expresses himself. Just don't try to sell fans on some sob story. His former team is significantly better off without his and Sam's services. These folks saying oh he's a good teammate for supporting Sam will be one of the first to attack either of them when the games are played and we struggle.
  21. The no win situation began thanks to Matt Rhule choosing to start the foundation of his roster with two players the Jets discarded. The same franchise that has 1 winning season in the last 11 years.
