  1. Miami was 0-3 in OT this season but ofc we were their get right game.
  2. Slim Hornets lead late in the fourth? Time for some terrible shot attempts and may as well commit some fouls too
  3. The league showed the blueprint on how to stop our offense. Headhunt Cam Newton and we won't stop you. The Bengals are in a different situation entirely in that regard. Nine times out of ten Burrow gets the call if the pass rush tries some sketchy bullshit. The pendulum has now swung back into the favor of quarterbacks and offense in general. It certainly helps to look like Joe if you want to build your persona around swagger and what some would consider arrogance. But I won't wade into all that. If the Bengals go the route the Panthers did in free agency and the draft and remove pieces from their Super Bowl team and make additions in the wrong places they could end up like the Panthers. Mismanagement in the 2016 offseason guaranteed the window with the Panthers core was slammed shut. For the Bengals sake I hope their decision makers don't go down that road. Go all in on the offensive line and stack playmakers and see where it takes you.
  4. Oh of course we have no certainty on the notion but if it's between us and the Bucs the Saints possibly NYG or another big market our looming lame duck coaching situation and oline will not do us any favors.
  5. Good for Frankie. So out of Sam Darnold Robby Anderson Pat Elflein and Frankie Luvu we've got 1 hit and we're waiting to see if Robby will return to form this year. I'm thankful for Luvu he's earned it but we can please move away from searching for talent on the worst teams in the league?
  6. Watson didn't want to come here last go around you think he will want to when we trade away our top young WR? The whole debacle in Houston began with moving Hopkins for basically peanuts.
  7. It would have to be a first to even get a conversation initiated. Do you recall the Panthers history with 2nd round picks? TMJ has to make his way onto the field and so far he has yet to do anything to break the cycle of our not so good history with that particular round of the draft.
  8. Yeah if you're hoping we back our way into our own Jefferson or Chase all I can say is good luck. We have one pick in the first three rounds this year and needs all along the oline. We also have TMJ waiting in the wings though he has proven absolutely nothing at this level yet and could not even get a game jersey when the season was lost. I can say with perspective of the past that I am in no way shape or form banking on an FA receiver replicating or replacing production here because I have lived that storyline as a Panthers fan for years. We aren't getting a first for DJ and if that's the case I would rather keep him and see what he can accomplish with a real quarterback.
  9. Offense runs the league and talented young receivers are more sought after. Your solution to our woes is to offload ours in an already struggling offense? And ya'll ridicule Matt Rhule for not knowing what he's doing
  10. Who believes stuff like this? We are not tanking. We have been terrible the last three seasons and the highest we have drafted is at 6. We aren't even good at losing. Odds say we will make a push and win a few extra games. Anyone hoping for a magical tank season to the first overall pick may as well also believe in fairy tales.
  11. Is this the man ya'll were rooting for?
  12. What's the worry about his age of all things? He'll be the same age as Burrow was in his rookie season. For further perspective Darnold was 21 as a rookie and his age was used as an argument for why he could be good here now. Certainly didn't make a difference as we have seen.
  13. When I think about this I can't help but be reminded of how often he sought out a microphone when the team had that very public falling out with Cam in early 2020. It was that mess that led us to Bridgewater and then to Darnold because the decision makers had to have an instant solution to validate the original mess. Bringing back Cam only brought it all full circle. My goodness you have to laugh to keep from crying.
  14. Definitely a little bit of both but if we want to keep young talent like LaMelo the Hornets can't keep settling for mediocrity. I've been critical of Borrego but the team had shots that should have went in. If Miles makes both free throws we win the game. We didn't want to make a splash move at the trade deadline but they need to figure something out by next season or I wouldn't blame LaMelo for looking at other options in the future
  15. Awful undisciplined basketball. This is not a playoff contender sorry boys.
  16. Taking the same stupid shot attempts in OT as they did in the fourth and it's gonna result in a big fat L. The hero ball always bites us in the ass.
  17. We're getting some serious breaks here in the midst of some sloppy ass basketball. Better win this.
  18. Source? I have suspected this but had hoped it wasn't the case. But seeing how involved he was in the draft room last year was a big hint.
  19. I would rather take a swing at any of the QB's in this draft than give up assets for Garoppolo.
  20. Looks like an NBA team beating up on a G league team out there. Different energy altogether.
  21. If Cooks catches that pass in the end zone against the Patriots the Rams probably win a Super Bowl with Goff. Stafford was impressive in the playoffs but people will always remember the refs all the sudden deciding to throw multiple flags in the red zone on the game winning drive in the Super Bowl in their stadium. Doesn't matter what they called for the Bengals or against the Rams in previous quarters. Apple did not play well but there isn't much any defender would have been able to do if the zebras were making it clear you can't even get near Kupp. It was over right then and there.
  22. While possible I just don't see it. Not after how badly our last two attempts have gone. The benefits of a young quarterback with potential on an affordable rookie deal are being utilized more and more by teams who are having varying levels of success. If this regime is truly into the analytics they have rambled on about then I firmly believe we will see a rookie quarterback this year or next. People can say we could make a run at Watson or one of the other top tier quarterbacks but if it boils down to it I can say with near certainty they will choose a bigger market and better situation overall. If Rhule and Fitterer have any clue at all they will know by now what has to be done. Of course that’s the rub and why so many are now pessimistic. We'll see.
