Sean Payton Officially Steps Away From Saints
frankw replied to PantherBoy95's topic in Carolina Panthers
With this and Brady retiring we should be in great position. Too bad we don't have a quarterback. -
If the Panthers draft another corner at 6...
-
Common sense thing to do is keep the first rounders and draft our own QB and build around him. Those rookie deals for quarterbacks are very valuable.
-
He'll be 33 this summer. It isn't healthy to still be clinging to this dream.
-
I get the OT rules complaints but the Bills defense was atrocious those last few drives. They wouldn't get past the Bengals playing like that. But Burrow is going to drop some dimes on that KC defense.
-
This is insanity.

Credit where it's due to Stafford. So glad Brady and the Bucs are out.

Things couldn’t have set up better for Tepper and Rhule

Check Matt Rhule's record against the recently fired head coaches. -

Absolutely but you also aren't going to win when even with time in the pocket your quarterback has happy feet and lobs picks into triple coverage. That's why you don't trade for another teams failure. And now we are trying to talk ourselves into Mayfield -

Well you can fear drafting a Mayfield instead of a Burrow but we still need to draft our own quarterback and so far Matt Rhule and staff seem keen to avoid having to deal with a rookie QB at all costs to the point that PJ Walker is once again under contract. Just because they can be acquired does not mean it will be us and the cost will not be insignificant. I would rather draft our own guy but I assume this staff will dig us deeper in the hole. -

Are you using the Bengals struggles since 2015 to make the point that Rhule is actually making progress but it will be a 7 year process? It shouldn't have to be that way in this version of the NFL. I don’t think anyone here is arguing that the Bengals haven't been bad for many years but the ascension is due to the fact they knew how to suck the right way and they weren't afraid to take their quarterback. They weren't trying to sign the likes of Teddy Bridgewater or trade for busts like Sam Darnold. This is what we are going to have to do. There are no shortcut quarterbacks we can acquire from another team to bypass that. -

The Bengals aren't exactly known as a great drafting team. They were raked over the coals for drafting Chase and not an olineman. You see how that has worked out for them though. Because Baker sucks it's too scary to take a QB now? We can bash the Browns if it makes us feel better but they've been in the playoffs while we had to call up Cam Newton just to make the season partially watchable. We are in this mess because management called this a rebuild and then turned around and mortgaged the future for returns now. The man at the helm of that is Rhule. -

No it took one recent season of just accepting they were the worst team in the league and now they have one of the best young quarterbacks and they are a hot playoff team. It really isnt that difficult. Well unless you're Panthers fans and you get off on pointless win streaks with the likes of Kyle Allen and Sam Darnold. Look at all that team culture though -

That wasn't what I expected but the Packers team this year had their flaws. What a weird year for the NFC though.

Welp fug it let's see how low this will go I guess

I don't understand the Corner fetish with this regime. We tripled down at the position last year and still got dragged up and down the field.

Our Roster -- Players We Feel Good About (Part 1 - Offense)**
frankw replied to SetfreexX's topic in Carolina Panthers
Every time I hear about BC I just get annoyed all over again. Year 3 and we're still looking for a left tackle. I don't see how we are different or better off from the last regime. The same baffling negligence remains.
