I have no idea but if they do intend on making an Eagles like splash then that would mean a lot of picks I'd imagine. Unless they want Pickett and only have to jump us. Giants would like to do a deal too. Or they don't believe the Lions want him, we will draft Pickett and then they only have to jump the Seahawks. I personally think they'll wait till teens before making any moves for a QB. Willis may be there later. Let's see what Corral does and who's there.

I can't help but wonder if the Lions being interested in Willis at 2 is connected to the Steelers planning to make a pre draft splash like the Eagles did to get Wentz?

I disagree with the very popular idea that somehow Pickett has already reached his potential and couldn't also have a higher potential. We have a QB coach as an OC and a very well respected QB coach. He had a breakout season last year running a pro style offense. It looked like something clicked and he killed it. Why can't he be taught more and be able to improve his game to a higher level? The guy is smart and known for being a hard worker. Much like other young QBs having success early in the NFL, I think Pickett has that same, high potential.

It means don't trust OSU with your QBs.

Yeah it's the old scrambler vs runner debate that some people don't understand the difference. A scrambler buys time to make a pass and only runs if no other options are available. A runner won't spend much time looking for a pass once they take off but will just run. Runners often actually get called to make run plays more than scramblers do and usually have accuracy problems. I like to call them Running QBs and Throwing RBs. Makes it easier to understand the difference.

If the Commanders and Steelers are heavily present, especially WFT, that tells me they both know Pickett won't be there at 11 or 20.

If they wanted a super athletic qb with a cannon arm but questionable other skills they would have drafted Fields last year. It's not Willis. Fields was a better prospect yet they passed on him.
