You think we would trade with them so they could get their qb? That would be interesting -

I'd be curious if 20 is too low for us. There 2nd rounder isn't that high either. -

I agree. I think Dart is the curveball If it's true they're resetting this year then they don't even have to play him. He can sit the whole season. It won't matter -
Well, if you look at their list of who they might select at 8 there are 8 players. Two are tackles, four are OLBs, then 1 DT, WR and S. That says to me that they think Tackle needs to be addressed. Then the question is which is easier to get in round 2, your tackle or OLB? In round 2 they have 3 olbs and 2 ilbs listed as well. So that's 9 lbs consider for our first 2 picks. They have their next tackle listed for the 3rd rnd and only 1

2025 NFL Draft - Round 1 Discussion
Panthers Rhule replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is the first draft i can remember where i don't have a specific pick at want in the first. I'll honestly be ok with whomever they select. Walker, Williams, OL, DL doesn't matter to me. I'm more curious than anything at this point. -
I agree. I think they take Dart at 9. If we get a trade back offer it's because of Jeanty, Dart and I could even see an OL or DL as possibilities too. I don't think this draft will be as vanilla as people think once it get's started. People can talk about value and weak top of the class but this is the 2025 draft and it's the only one you get. Someone will take what they can because that's all you can do. Maybe that guy would be 10-15 slots lower last year but it ain't last year. I think Sanders isn't qb 2. He's pushed because of his father. He's a 2nd rnd qb at best even in this draft. I wouldn't be surprised if he's the 3rd or even 4th qb taken.

which is why now is the time to draft him so we're set for next season when I'm sure Moten will be gone. His career doesn't have to be over it just won't be here. Sometimes drafting ahead is the best move. Is there a player you think we can draft at 8 that will start day 1? If so, who?
-
I get that feeling too. If Membou drops to us he's the pick. BPA and a need. I've had this feeling for a while too. It's one of our biggest needs imo. Particularly RT. Membou would be a great pick at 8 if he were available. If now I think it's the OTHER UGA guy.

If not for Juan and mhs831 there wouldn't be any reason to come here.
-
No way he retires. He has millions of reasons to ride this out. The Flacons really Falcked themselves.
-
I like their new uniforms though

This is pretty much what I wanted to say except I'm not sure about Corbett unless it's cheap and because he's an experienced vet who helps the others with professionalism. THat's the same reason I'd keep Dalton. Coaches on the team has a lot of value. Shaq could be another. Depends on money. Shaq definitely wants to play here.

anyone who has watched the progress that Bryce has made this season and not be excited is just afraid to hope. at the start of this season most everyone said this season would be considered a success if we could win 4 or 5 games (checked) and see progress from Bryce (checked) and the team as a whole (checked). This was a fantastic season. I believe in our GM, our coach and much to my surprise our QB. WE have a long way to go but I can see the path finally. Bryce may be a game manager, and he is but I think he's also a winner. He has that "it" factor. He's shown it already. It was just his second season and first with Canales who seems to have the "it" factor too. Are they there now? No. Have they shown me that they can be? Hell yes. The offense looks good. Now, I totally expect them to improve the defense. Does that make us a good team? not yet but I can see it coming. The long lost and talked about culture finally showed itself this season. I think these Panthers are on their way to becoming a good team. Best season in 10 years. To beat Atlanta at home and to eliminate their playoff hopes at the same time is something we haven't seen in a very long time. Anyone who can't appreciate that is just looking for a reason to be sad

stroud is on that list too but he des have the best chance out of any them imo
-
This list also says that drafting a QB in the first round and playing him early doesn't work anymore. 6 out of 10 were 1st round picks with the last few years. Jones is the oldest one but he started his first season too I think. So, probably drafting another 1 this season doesn't change anything for us for several seasons. No matter who is.

What franchises are in worse shape than the Panthers

After that stupid trade they made to move up to 3 I'm not that surprised. -

The funny thing about winning is you don't know who's going to win. The only difference between teams is whether or not they win. Surprises happen all the time. Teams we think are good suddenly start losing and vice versa. That's why they actually play the games. How it ends no one really knows so they play the games and they try to win. Canales and Morgan have said they want to build a culture and the last 2 weeks have shown this and the post game interviews show this. Every team has an opponent to play and their job is to beat that opponent and we have succeeded the last 2 weeks. That's the best you can do and hope that winning these games builds the confidence to become the surprise to win more games. Anyone who doesn't want to win is a loser by default and will always be a loser. -

Panthers Rhule replied to Chief_Chokeaho's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's a loser mentality. We moved up to pick number 1 just the season before last and what did that get us? A point guard. If you think having pick 7 instead of 3 changes our future you're trippin. Most people here were saying 4 or 5 wins this season would be considered a success. Now, we're almost there and some of you want us to lose every game for a roll of the dice. Amazing what some people have become these days. -
