  1. Cam broke his foot in a Pats preseason game under relentless blitz so yeah, gonna be a tough one for PJ and Corral
  2. I'm watching the 4th quarter replay and Howell was getting like 4 seconds a throw on average. Corral maybe 1-2. Considering Howell also has had more steady reps in training camp I'm not surprised the optics of this particular game favor Howell. Next week Corral will still be under pressure from Patriots blitzes but will hopefully be with some actual 2nd stringers and some semblance of an actual game plan to show what he can do
  3. I"m into 3rd quarter of the replay and Cade Mays is an instant upgrade over both Jordan and Elf
  4. Judging by his foul mouth during his first presser I assume it's a lot of fuging this and fuging that. I was just thinking that I hope he gives Rhule a wake up call on his O-line position battle BS
  5. Looking forward to seeing that Baker/Corral connection. Corral only mentions Baker whenever he speaks of guidance out of the QB room
  6. Interesting. Sounds like all the coaching changes and upgrades Fitt made to the team didn't teach Rhule a single thing and Tepper is for some reason enabling him. Tepper and Rhule must have the same undiagnosed personality disorder and too much money to care
  7. I really wish Fitt had control over who to cut and McAdoo had control over who starts on offense. Limit Rhule to mismanaging time outs and it would be palatable
  8. BC looks better against the power rush as well. Gotta give him/Campen credit for whatever they reworked.
  9. Replay update- Our D-line is trash. Specifically the interior
  10. Pretty sure your LG isn't supposed to be facing sideways during pass pro but that's just me
  11. It has to be some kind of lack of self confidence thing where he ends up over thinking and trying too hard. I think he should go to therapy
  12. I was stoked to see him look great on returns as well. Roberts is a solid vet returner but hasn't taken any meaningful WR snaps in like 5 years. Looks like Shi has the nerves to handle that job
  13. Here's Jordan on the right side with Erving at LT trying to get Sam killed on the TD pass
  14. Watching the replay, Jonathan Allen is the nicest guy in the world. He destroyed Jordan multiple times and each time quit once he got to Baker instead of putting him on the ground
  15. Watching replay- first Shi Smith catch, Jordan has no one to block so he drifts to the left to watch BC block his guy out effectively. Elflein gets beat by his guy who runs clean through the gap Jordan leaves open and rocks Baker right as he gets the pass off. Elf and Jordan do not need to be on the field especially at the same time
  16. Another question is if this was a legit QB battle, why would Rhule give them different O-lines to play behind for their respective series? Just pick your 5 O-line for the 1st quarter and play them, let McAdoo do his thing with everything the same but a different QB.
  17. There is no way they can look at that tape and justify any of the mistakes those two made. It's also consistent of traits they've displayed throughout their whole careers, they aren't getting better no matter who coaches them.
  18. Kinda baffling they won't experiment with BC at LT and Ickey at LG. As much as I dislike them constantly shuffling guys around I think those two should be together on the left side for gelling purposes and it would be an easy adjustment to swap them when the time comes. Certainly better than having Jordan out there in any combo as Verge noted
  19. Those two O-line combos were head scratchers. I think BC/Jordan/Elf/Corbett/Taylor with Baker and then Ickey/BC/Boze/Jordan/Erving with Sam. That is not a recipe for success, and we don't need to pretend guys like Jordan and Erving are battling for starting jobs.
  20. We're desperate for D-line help once teams start cutting guys. Pretty underwhelming from a power standpoint
  21. Linebackers might actually be a pleasant surprise with these pickups. Littleton is gonna be a fan favorite and a leader by week 5 I think
  22. Makes no sense, some guys have to earn every little rep they get, some guys Rhule tries to force into success because he had a hunch he can't admit was wrong
  23. PJ had a pretty good line for his snaps. Mays and Pleasants looked good on that right side
