  1. There is a ton of talent I agree. But top 10? I suppose it's in the range of possibilities I just wasn't expecting it so soon. Hard to imagine after a lot of what we seen last season. We saw flashes just no consistency.
  2. I mean whatever logic you want to apply to it. I wasn't saying okung was good or bad it's about losing a starter and playing the guy behind him doesn't really make your team better.
  3. I agree again on rule. But, my expectations for this season might be a bit higher than your own. Not because this isn't his first true season, but because of last season the team was already highly competitive. We don't know for sure how darnold will look. As he goes do go we. I don't think we got worse and improved in multiple areas. Corner, Reddick adding to the pass rush. Cmc returning and hoping there is no fall off at tackle or replacing Samuel I don't see any reason we can't finish around 8-8 or whatever the new status quo is for being 500. I don't think this is a playoff team. But next season that should be the goal.
  4. Agreed. I don't think anyone working at the highest level of coaching or scouting couldn't see very early on those guys were a weakness. My point was more aimed at the theory of addition by subtraction. If you you got better by just cutting a guy then why was he even starting to begin with. Basically if we cut say okung last year are we better playing Little?
  5. The patriots weren't a bad team? They were which why they were able to spend more money in free agency than anyone before. Not a lot stars which why they had a lot of cash to burn. The bills are the best team in the division which is why I didn't mention them as a free win. Traditionally tho, the pats have been able to sleep walk into the playoffs with the jets constantly bad. The dolphins have been bad for a long time and even the bills before Josh Allen turned the corner and the current office.
  6. Not sure that wins you more games. If you had better behind whitehead or teddy why start them to begin with?
  7. This part. They also play in a historically bad division. Pats, bills, dolphins, jets. You could almost sweep jets and fins and that's 4 wins.
  8. But that brings you to the question why were they starting anyway? At the time they were the best we could do.
  9. I mean I disagree. A team that lost brady gronk,Edelman out for the season, Ben Watson, not to mention the offensive line subtractions, Jamie Collins signing with Detroit. Not sure if they lost Hightower or he opted out. Lost Kyle vanoy.. a playoff caliber team???? They didn't add much they just lost players thats a rebuild. You don't get better losing players.
  10. Playoff caliber team? You are high. They shredded everyone from Logan mankins to opt-outs that team was not a playoff caliber team with or without Newton.
  11. Agreed. I am not advocating for trading down to 28 at all. I just ment in a decent situation.
  12. I can agree with most of what you said. But this is business. In doing business you can't take personal feelings into account no matter how you "feel" about them. I do think you try to screw them and the price for rivals is probably higher although, you have to take into account this is a completely new regime. Tepper, Rhule, and scott fitterer for that matter weren't around for any of that stuff you mentioned. We as fans want to make our staffs hatred and pride the same as our own but these guys aren't fans and are professionals. I would hate to miss out on a haul like say what the 49ers gave up to get to 3 because it's the Saints bucs or falcons. If what they want to trade up for isn't what I want and the price is good I don't mind trading at all.
  13. Agree with this. I just can't get with the notion of not listening at all to their offer because they are the saints or any divisions rival. I think you atleast see what they are talking about if nothing more than to get some idea of what they are thinking draft night.
  14. Wouldn't say that. You listen to all offers. No prospect is a surefire thing so if they offer enough and want to take a swing I'm all for it. I'm sure we atleast called Atlanta about number 4 as well.
  15. The whole "mortgaging the future" tag might lean a bit to the extreme. The cost of a second round pick vs a potential franchise qb sounds pretty cheap. Yes I know we passed on fields and Mac jones just like every one in the league including the ravens on Lamar Jackson. I don't think darnold will look bad enough to sink the franchise or on the other end push us into the playoffs so the results will probably be middling for a while.
  16. All these sources but the teams actions say otherwise. I can believe the Lance part but Mond in the second???
  17. But gained a starting qb who would have went second this year in the draft.
  18. People have an opinion about everything. You say your sick I'm sure your mom ar one point in time tried to diagnose you like she was a doctor.
  19. Thats like saying it's OK to ignore byu players... what you would ignore Zac wilson... or ignore north Dakota state players... you ignore trey Lance? Josh Allen? Again.. just because a player went to a school has absolutely nothing to do with ability to play the game.
  20. You draft traits and players not Helmets.
  21. I like the emphasis on athletes. Not sure they are guys I would have picked when they did but I like the idea.
  22. Or whoever this guy is we took from Washington.
  23. Few guys I would like here Hamsah Nasirildeen and Marvin Wilson.
