I think both Sanders and Dart are going to be available at 8 and someone will trade with us to jump the Saints. Then again, the Saints have two 3rd rounders and two 4th rounders so they have draft capital to move up.

Kind of crazy we can't trade down w/ Sanders, Warren, Tet, Jeanty still on the board. Our options would be Mykel/Green, Membou, Golden, Emmanwori. Edge is deep but we pick pretty late in round two so depends on who you think is there then.

Jeanty is the BPA on that list followed by Graham. I would be fine with taking Walker in that scenario, though.

I get your point that the owner(s) need to take a back seat, but I don't think it was their idea to trade up to take X in the first after all the tier 1 WR talent was off the board, or trade up to take a RB with a torn ACL in the second. The best thing the Teppers could do is to tell Morgan you are no long allowed to trad up for anyone.

According to the Consensus big board we could be looking at: 21: Mike Green Edge, Mathew Golden WR, Malaki Starks or Nick Emmanwori S 57: Jack Sawyer Edge, Princely Edge, Carson Swesinger LB, Alfred Collins DT, Elic Ayomanor WR. 74: Isaih Bond WR, Cam Skatteboo RB, Demtrius Knight LB 83: Shemar Turner Edge, Andrew Mukuba S, Jalen Royals WR, Cam Williams OT 111: Chris Paul LB, Tez Johnson WR, DJ Giddens RB, Billy Bowman S and then we still pick 140, 146, 156,163.... It would fill all needs and then some.

I am an Ole Miss fan so i was surprised by the character red flag issues. I posted those on our college board and other fans don't remember them either. In reality, Kiffin was noncommittal on answers as to why Nolan did not return to games. That could be for injury, strategy, time off or all three. The notion he went to five schools is ridiculous when he only went to two colleges (A&M and Ole Miss) and I don't blame him for leaving A&M. I remember him playing hard and being a good teammate. If Kiffin and the DC can give us assurances, this would be a great pick but probably later than 8 given the recent b.s. rumors and projections.

I like him, but he is small for the position, played in a conference with weaker competition, and he is currently at 32 on the consensus big board. This draft is full of edge rushers so i hope we don't reach for one at 8. He would be in the trade back and take an edge conversation though.

Interesting players that could be available for our second at 57: Landon Jackson Edge 46, Darius Alexander 47 DT Toledo, Nick Scourton 49 Edge, Azareye'h Thomas 50 CB. Add one of those players to Mason Graham or Jalon Walker and we are off to a good start for the D. Next up would be wr.

Every team has different evaluations and needs. I think Sanders falling is a real possibility and the two OT's, TE, and top WR and RB might actually be at 8 too. It is no guarantee though and a plan needs to be in place in case we don't get any offer to trade back.
