I am just happy that the next "Top 10 Revenge Games" on NFL Network won't just mention us with the "Blood and Guts" game.
-
I'll take a bite. But before I completely switch to the pats, there's one more 'feasting on the Falcons' I wanna mention: If you went back in time and spotted them that 1st missed FG... AND that second missed FG... AND turned the pick-6 instead into an ATL TD (14-point swing)... AND turned the 2nd INT into an ATL TD... They STILL would've lost 30-27. You've got an hour and a half to savor that before the Cheet-ohs.

In fairness, if someone is going to take away the GWDs that he did nothing, then they should add when he led what should have been GWDs but the worst NFL defense did nothing afterwards. There were several of those as well.

I'm wondering if ATL didn't think: "We need to see what we have in Penix. Carolina is so bad that they are the perfect team to try this against." Otherwise, it was pure stupidity to not just run Bijan. What's good for us and bad for them is (1) Penix is as bad as we hoped, (2) We were not as bad as we appeared in the first two games, and (3) when they switched over to Cousins, they only got evidence that he is still not their savior and, at the same time, that they will not get that "premium" price for him in a trade.

Who knows where it will go next week, but today, at least for a little while it is required and mandatory that you savor a win... A shutout win... A shutout blowout win... A shutout blowout division win... A shutout blowout division win against our most hated rival. Good morning!

Falcons with Major Offensive Line Injuries to Start the Season
coffee replied to Seltzer's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hope this doesn't bite us. I've got this fear that Penix goes down and Cousins has a Dalton vs Raiders type game against us (as Cousins seems prone to do). -
A disadvantage in an argument. He can't give someone the middle finger.

I just checked all alternate universes and here's the one: Ist drive, 3rd & 6, BY avoids the sack for an 87 yard TD. Only 10 on the field for the ensuing KO because Incoom can’t find his helmet. At the last second, Bryce heroically yells “There it is! Go get ‘em!” Incoom chases the returner backwards into the endzone for a safety. 2nd drive goes exactly as our universe with Coker’s TD. Coming off the field, Bryce tells Tet to turn his head quicker. Tet says “I won’t let it happen again!” Canales, hearing this, says “Show me!” and sends them on the field for the successful 2 pts and the confirmation that Tet delivers on his word. At 17-0 from 2 drives, the crowd goes wild but Dan Morgan meets Bryce on the sideline. “Technically, you weren’t responsible for the 1st drive extra point, so you only got us 16 pts. We appreciate what you’ve done for us but we’ve decided to go in a different direction.”

Carolina Going to the Super Bowl This Season
coffee replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
Very astute of you! For any that need help with the irrefutable math: AR followed Farves' path exactly ... except that the very last step was altered. Thus, obviously, the very last step in our path will of course be altered to a Super Bowl win. -
Carolina Going to the Super Bowl This Season

No, Aaron Rogers going to the Steelers instead of the Vikings assures that we win this time. -

Falcons posted this, then deleted it LOLOLOL
coffee replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Makes them even, right? They now pranked themselves. Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, prank for prank. -
I predict that reaching for all the steals will make this the best bad draft ever. Hope: Graham Think: Walker Dream: Someone trades us for 8 to get Jeanty, then someone else trades for that pick to get Sanders, leaving us with a boatload of 2nds and an extra pick or two next year..

Same returning line for the first time in almost 10 years….
coffee replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's a much better returning line than "Trust the Process." -
Panthers sign former Rams MLB Christian Rozeboom

Yeah, and he should change it to "Lorzeboom." -
Absolutey! Drafting for needs is the equivalent of prevent defense.

Panthers agree to 1-year deal with RB Rico Dowdle
coffee replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
The math doesn't really work on that. If you need a RB, having a historically good RB draft gives you a better chance of getting one without reaching. But it doesn't mean that you purposely go into a draft seeking that position. We still want BPA, whatever position it is. If we get BPA, but a bunch of the picks around it are RB, who cares? -
ooo I'm just completing your post. (My friend, I truly hope this doesn't offend! It's been forever since I posted here, I had a bad week, and I woke up in a funky mood. I mean no insult and I'm just gfing with you. oo)

Practically every comfortable thing I own has the Panthers on it so, yes, win, lose or draw.
-
I just want to have the best record in our division and also win the last game we play.

This won't sound positive but please bear with me: A few weeks ago, NFL Radio was speaking of how bad the Panthers were. Bill Polian acknowledged that this was the case. That's when he started saying some of the most encouraging things I've heard this year. First, I'll say it was encouraging because he was not trying to compliment our team. He was blunt about our flaws (and about other teams' flaws). So it was an honest evaluation from a tremendously knowledgable HOFer. He said stats may not show it but he has seen very nice growth from Young each week. (Remember, this was before our win). Then he spoke of what he had said before the season. He saw in training camp that we were having great growing pains with new coaching, new system, etc. He also saw that we still had quite a few players that don't fit the system. His determination back then (that he stated back then) was that our team would have a much better 2nd half of the season than first half as things started clicking. This not only gave me a bunch of encouragement about the rest of this season, but that we will continue to see incremental jumps forward as we move into next season and beyond.
