  1. I want speed on the reads and release and accuracy with the ball. Anything else is irrelevant to me in a QB. Tom Brady, Drew Breese, Peyton Manning, and anyone else you want to put at the top of the chain at QB were not fleet of foot. While Mahommes is quick he is really at his best when he uses his quickness to get outside the pocket and find a receiver, not when he runs with the ball.
  2. No start Cam. I don't really care. I don't believe either QB is taking us anywhere. We are not doing anything next season anyway. I say build the line and play ourselves into a sweet QB pic in 2023. Cam is fools gold he clearly cannot throw the ball deep, has accuracy issues in the short passing game and takes too long to make his reads if he makes them at all. Defenses will play us that way. He will get a lot of pressure and we will probably hear a lot of whining about our o-line as a result. Darnold has the ability to throw it deep, but when he gets happy feet he throws it to the other team a lot as does Cam so it really does not matter who we start, chalk this season up as a loser and move on. Build the o-line for the next QB and head coach.
  3. I say do it. Start him all year and then maybe the people that think he is still a star will see that is not the case. Who am I kidding they will blame it all on the offensive line or coach or someone else like they always do, but at least we will come out with a very high draft pick.
  4. At this point I would rather just roll with Sam or Cam really does not matter. Both should put us in a great spot with a high pick next year.
  5. read one report that said it is down to New Orleans and Atlanta. Damn sure don't want him in the NFC South with another team.
  6. You are talking about trading a turd for a questionably better turd. Still a turd at the end of the year. I cannot imagine Kap leading any team there either. This logic of well they are better than Sam or whatever is really some screwed up logic.
  7. I cannot even believe anyone is seriously considering this, but what the hell bring him in and start him. I am already hoping we can secure the #1 pick after next season and this would assuredly get us there.
  8. Never understood why we brought him in to start with. We were making moves like we were close to making some post seasons noise lol. I love Gilmore as a Gamecocks fan I have followed him his entire career, just did not see the logic in signing him to this bad team last year. I never expected him to stay.
  9. I think we should use him like San Fran uses Deebo. He is at his best once he has the ball in his hands. He turns into a running back and has great field vision with the ball in his hands.
  10. I don't think he can. Today's NFL is pass heavy and Cam does not have the arm to get it done. I am not a fan of Darnold either, but hard to say he is better or worse than Cam with the way this season unfolded. I really don't care if Cam comes back next year if he does I will just hunt and fish more on Sundays and wait for us to get another high draft pick in 2023 and maybe pick up a QB from a much better draft class. If you think Cam can take this team to a SB and play better than Delhomme that is your prerogative. I think his stats as a passing QB speak for themselves. 2-3 years as a starter is not even realistic, but I understand the emotional attachment many have and don't actually watch what he does on the field.
  11. For his Career Cam is under 60% completion rate. That tells you all you need to know about his passing ability and now he cannot push the ball down the field any longer so he is a back up, but no longer a starter. People letting their emotions think that he can take a team to any kind of heights are just that following their emotions. Great guy and great in the community and I appreciate everything he has done, but time to move on.
  12. Both of them lookin like they are recovering from a bender. Rhule always looks like he just rolled out of bed, have some damn pride in your appearance.
  13. Another example of this staff not knowing WTF they are doing. Oh well hopefully next year ends this experiment for good.
  14. With that crybaby mentality permeating this team they will never win like they should. Nut up and say I should have gotten the ball to the official like we do on every other play and not gotten in his way when he was trying to set the ball. This team's clock management has been an issue all year and that play was just another in a long line of screw ups this year.
  15. The focus on the Miami game is good and I will say it is a symptom of a few things. The offensive line is bad, combine that with the fact that Miami knows Cam cannot throw the ball and sold out getting after Cam compounded the issues. It is hilarious to see the same people that support Cam saying that nobody could be successful behind that line and then they say Darnold sucks. Bottom line Darnold nor Cam are starters in this league. Time to move on.
  16. Maybe it is due to this type of logic: https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2022/01/13/panthers-matt-rhule-rashawn-slater/
  17. Just making a point that get in the endzone and then do what you want, but don't try to embarrass your opponent before you get there. I have no problem with showboating as long as you are winning, but stupid first down celebrations when you are getting your ass kicked as stupid. Win and you can do whatever you want and I am good with it. Say what you want he was never the same after the concussion I pointed out, which is why I pointed that one out. My posts are in response to the ridiculous title of this thread so not sure what is in your craw as you apparently feel Cam is done as QB1 as well.
  18. Uhm maybe get your facts straight. He got concussed when he pulled up heading into the endzone against Atlanta so he could have one of his famous "look at me showboat moments" But you bring up another point with you Camheads. It was always someone else's fault with y'all when he did not play well. Offensive line got blamed for him holding onto the ball too long quite often.
  19. Yeah let's get him back, maybe we can bring back Steve Smith, Jonathan Stewart, hell let's bring back Mushin Muhammad while we are at it. Let's get the old band back together for a reunion tour. Although it would not surprise me if Steve Smith could still play lol.
  20. Cam has not been in the playoffs since 2017 and has clearly lost any ability to throw the football. He is not the guy you all want to remember. He went to the playoffs 4 times in his career with the Panthers. He was very good in his early years and then once he started getting injured due to not knowing how to slide and then getting concussed showing off before he was in the endzone his career was essentially over. He could be a good backup, but if you really watch him play and take the blinders off he is not a QB1 in today's passing NFL. His arm is not strong enough and he is not accurate with his throws, it is clear anytime you watch him overthrow even simple routes.
