  1. I would say the best people to ask would be the quarterbacks that played against both. I think they are both great. I loved watching the chess game between Luke and opposing quarterbacks. They would line up Luke would diagnose, they would audible, rinse and repeat. I did not get to see Ray play as often, but he was a huge impact player and right up there in the greatest of all time. I think the time Luke spent in the league puts him right in that conversation as well.
  2. I followed Clowney through high school and college. He was an absolute freak of an athlete. The last year he played at USC he just kind of went through the motions and did not have a high motor. If he wants to play and can find that motivation he can still have an impact on what the offense does, but I question how badly he wants to be great. I know he's had some injuries, but he had all the tools to be a great one, just question the heart. He reminded me a lot of Javon Kearse with just his sheer physical abilities. Watching his high school tape is a lot of fun, he was running people down from 20 yards back.
  3. Congrats you won.....nothing. Stay humble though
  4. I believe the run we are seeing on receivers in the draft is largely a result of the recent huge contracts you have seen given to some. You will see more and more receivers in free agency as that rookie contract runs out. Teams cannot afford to tie up such huge portions of their cap in that position. I would think we would see more teams with one proven high paid receiver and a bunch of young guys moving forward as the young guys have proven, many of them can have an immediate impact.
  5. I agree and think the same about Cam. When you get pressure on either of them early in a game they start pressing and their footwork goes to crap causing the bad passes and poor decisions with the football.
  6. A line he will make look mediocre because he cannot push the pull down the field and cannot hit simple swing passes with any accuracy. Teams will load up the line and rush the crap out of him on long yardage and everyone will once again complain about how bad the offensive line is like they did years ago. I don't really care if we bring him back, but expecting anything exceptional this season from the quarterback position is laughable with Sam, PJ or Cam. We are building the line knowing that we will have a high draft pick next season and can have much higher potential to land a difference making quarterback. They are going to have to make some type of QB move with just Sam and PJ on the roster so I would not be surprised to see Cam come back.
  7. Notice all the teams jumping to sign Cam.....
  8. Wow the amount of drama with some posters in this thread. You would think this is the apocalypse.
  9. Lighten up Francis.
  10. I was really just kidding around. Would love to have Debo, but we have much bigger issues. I would like to see Robbie shipped somewhere else. Dude got the big contract and laid an egg
  11. Wants a trade. Bring him back home and ship Robbie and a bag of cash to the 49'ers
  12. Thank you for laying that out. I don't know why it felt like he was much more active as a rookie. I think I paid more attention to the games than I did last year and that is probably a large part of it. Toward the end of the season I had the game on in the background while I did other things
  13. He was an impact player at LB against the pass and the run. I think in today's game you need someone like him at LB to cover the TE. He just seemed to fade into nowhere last year IMO.
  14. Shoulder was back in 2020 I believe. I was talking about the Ankle injury he had in October he was not the same when he came back from missing 3 games and it limited his scramble ability and he was not good just standing in and passing.
  15. He is only good when he is mobile. When he was hurt last year and came back (not very mobile) he was not worth a crap. Over time as we've seen with most mobile guys they lose that and they are not really effective anymore. I am not sure he has the goods to be the stand in passer type. I would not want to make a trade for him to come to Carolina.
  16. Probably had to pick a place that Rhule would be dressed properly for.
  17. If he keeps eating those twinkies something is going to bust lol
  18. Pretty much a wealth envy thing I suppose. Oh well when you hear rich people are evil all day from the national media that is ironically owned by rich people I guess people begin to believe you can already know a person just by how much money they have. Sad really.
  19. So you dislike people because of how much money they have without even knowing the person? I know 2 that give enormous amounts of money to education programs in areas that badly need it and they are great people that help others every day and create a very large amount of really good paying jobs as well. I do agree with the part about staying out of football operations.
  20. Problem is they won't be quiet they will blame his crappy performance on everything but Cam. They bash Darnold but then say "nobody would have had success behind that line" when talking about Cam. Bottom line neither are starting QB's in my opinion.
  21. I think if Corrall is our guy that they do not have to take him in the first round. I think he will be there later in the draft.
  22. He can make all of the throws and is accurate. I don't think he is a bust, just in a bad situation. Also has the smarts. I think he will be fine.
