His fair share? He went from 37 targets during his rookie season (with 7 drops) to less than half of that last season with only 17 targets (and still had 1 dorp). The issue with the run game isn't the RB. It's the run blocking execution.

Chuba has stone hands, so him being in the game allows the defense to not pay attention to the RB on passing downs (or assume it's being handed off). I understand folks want different results, but let's not forget the results Chuba has already (like a bunch of dropped passes).

The creator is part of the Lock On podcast network, specifically the Locked On Vikings podcast. He's looking for what he believes to be things that the Vikings can look to expect (and in some cases, exploit) when they play against the Panthers. It's not so much a criticism, just pointing out what he thinks he's learned about the team from the film. The Vikings are going to have to cut off escape lanes with their blitzers since they'll be blitzing often (pictured below). The DBs will especially have to abide by scramble drill rules (if they're shallow when he breaks the pocket, drop deep. If they're deep, work back to the ball). This will be especially important since the Vikings will be bringing pressure which won't allow Bryce to set his feet and heave it, so he's going to have to make throws on the move and off platform. That means that so long as the Vikings defenders don't lose their man and instead keep it tight, Bryce will have to throw it away or take a sack. Sloppy zone runs might allow their LBs to shoot gaps without worrying about bouncing to the back side. Pointed out specifically the guards being slow in getting to their blocks laterally and climbing to the second level. Keeps mistaking Ickey for Taylor Lewan. This drove me crazy. Thought there might be something with stacking the LBs over the DL due to the struggling guards (especially Zavala). Miles bounced it to the backside due to how bad Ickey lost to an inside move from Granderson, but even if they were to flow the other way Zavala still has a tough job that he's not doing well at the moment since he seems to not have the lateral motion needed. Feels that Flores should be comfortable blitzing 80% of the time. Doing so takes away Bryce's RB as a checkdown since he'll have to stay and help with pressure, especially with the way the offense looks like its running through mud (play speed and design wise). Executing fast and precise will be a problem vs. the Vikings, but the Panthers don't seem to be doing that. He was still surprised that Bryce found something on the play and mentioned that he liked him a lot. Only had time to write up on the first 15min. Will get the remaining 30min after dinner!

I mean, there is though. You're saying that we're straight up paying $55M for folks to not play for us, which simply isn't true when given the context. For example, those DJ Moore + CMC numbers are from trades for draft picks. The way these are typically evaluated (as Casillas pointed out in a previous post somewhere, maybe not this thread) are by a point system based on how much the teams believe a player is "worth." This isn't simply a "We're just paying people to not pay for us." This is a, "We traded two of our premiere players for draft capital (one of them being a move up to #1 for a potential franchise QB)." When you remove those two players (DJ + CMC), that $55M falls to $21M. That's less than half of the number you're pitching a fit over. If you go even further and remove the Chosen Anderson contract (which was universally regarded as a bad extension), that number drops to ~$12M. This is during a season where the league average for dead cap is nearly $29M for a team. Your current presentation of the issue is limited to your frustration which excludes the circumstances involved. As a result of you choosing to dismiss said context, you've come across as being misleading.

I remember wanting Jayron Kearse to be drafted so bad by the Panthers and was grateful when they hadn't due to how his career seemed to have gone in Minnesota and Detroit before eventually ending up on Baltimore's practice squad. Looks like he found a way to make it all work with the Cowboys. Happy for him!

I'd be interested in seeing a Venn diagram showing the overlap between Huddlers that screamed about needing to be aggressive in landing a franchise QB (even if it costs future 1sts) and the Huddlers that are now bemoaning the loss of next year's first.

The Seattle-Carolina game was briefly mentioned during the Raw Room podcast (probably my favourite sports-related podcast currently) since Darren Bates, one of the hosts + creators of the show, is currently an assistant special teams coach for Seattle. I must have been in the bathroom because I didn't catch the play, but Seattle had tried sending a man in motion to block the kick like the Patriots had done only without the success. And Eddie let 'em know afterwards. I can't wait for when they get to roast DB the next time's he's on. Between the failed execution by Seattle and Eddie telling them about themselves afterwards, there's a good laugh to be had.
