Wow, I'd say this is all tied to taking himself out of the game. Just cannot do that in the NFL as a starting QB.

Dave Canales is one and done.... part 2.
Panthering replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
I truly do not see any angle here where you can lie this mess at Canales feet this season. There's certainly things to nitpick with him but he's so far from for biggest problems right now. Thankfully he'll be here next season and hopefully thereafter as well. -
I was legitimately shocked when he threw an accurate deep ball that Coker(?) caught on the sideline. Other than that he still looks lost out there and his arm strength is soooooooo pathetic.

Dan Graziano: Panthers will trade Diontae Johnson
Panthering replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I can't hate too much, this is what finally accepting and diving into a full rebuild actually looks like as painful as it is. -
What would a successful game for Young look like?
Panthering replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Show us something! Run the offense like an NFL caliber QB. -
Diontae is the only player traded is my guess after hearing he was in gym shorts today. Chuba maybe? But I think the league has mostly caught up on RBs not being valuable so they'll just hold off on that.

This was a great listen, especially for a Panthers nerd. This is also the first time I've heard from Luke that him crying on the field was actually just him being upset as opposed to it being an uncontrollable reaction from the concussion. That makes me feel a little better, although my relationship with the NFL as fan changed a little bit after that moment forever. Probably the first time I realized we weren't getting back to the Super Bowl and the window was closing going forward...... boy did it ever.

Thomas Incoom. Sounds like a made-up player in Madden

Have You Ever Taken a Hiatus from This Team?
Panthering replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean I'm out of market and don't have Red Zone this year (thank god). You could say I've been on hiatus for years now, but they're still my team and I'll check in. But there is zero chance I'll tune into every single game like I used to when I was younger with more free time. If I'm that interested then I'll sail the high season the internet to watch them which is easy enough. But I'll never truly drop them I don't think. -
He would not be an answer for us I don't think, so nothing? Dynamic player with the ability to run & pass but he's a better runner than a passer. Don't think that would lead us anywhere.

Only bright side of this is that we'll have a former beloved Panther on a massive Sports Network who might actually bring some reasonable Panthers talk whenever it's necessary.

What were your expectations for this season?
Panthering replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not a lot of wins unless something clicked, benching Bryce was huge for my mental of the org moving forward, injuries have decimated any hope I had for the rest of the season. Continue to evaluate the roster and the head coach. Roster stinks as expected and I'm still enjoying the Canales experience so far.... it's about what I expected I suppose? Maybe a little worse -
-
I've been at peace since we benched Bryce, the team is bad and I know that so these results really aren't going to effect me in the long run this year. Just going to tune in here and there to look for some small wins and enjoy having a decent playcaller at HC for the first time in my life.

Albert Breer: Panthers WR’s possibilities for Chiefs
Panthering replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
You want DJ? Fine, but the price you pay for that is you also have to take BY in the trade and give us a 2nd. -
Do we attempt to extend Diontae this season?
Panthering replied to Panthercougar68's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think we attempt to extend but not enough to outbid someone else. He'd have to really fall in love with Canales and the situation around him but the team just isn't good so. -
One of my favorite Panthers to watch out there and had started the season so well...... POO!

Run the f’ing rock, get a turnover, protect the ball, we WIN.

As soon as I saw that mouthpiece I was out

The way he complements our Pass Pro is so great to hear

I have been riding such a high since that first drive that I forgot how many almost INTs he threw
