Mayfield sucks. I can't believe I was talked in to thinking he could be an upgrade here.

Turnovers
-
It wasn't a hot at all. It was him chasing down an interception from KB slacking
-
I heard he's managing Tepper's portfolio.
-
He just not very good.

Don't forget Kobe Jones who might be showing the most so far. Recent article from the team doesn't mention Leota as part of the mix. https://www.panthers.com/news/edge-rusher-kobe-jones-flashing-during-first-training-camp-with-carolina

Or not.....many conflicting articles

Doesn't count against 53 https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-emergency-qb-rule-3rd-quarterback-2023/pcbxurweiswxq4o1ns2ubbqh "During the NFL's spring meetings, owners approved a rule change to allow a third quarterback to dress on game days, which won't count toward the team's active roster limit. That means teams may not have to burn an active roster spot on a third quarterback on gamedays, which may help alleviate some other roster construction problems for the league."

We had 3 pretty different offenses under Rivera. They might have used similar terminology or schemes but they were executed noticably differently

I think DL has always been what I'm most interested in. This could be fun

Yo! We got a game Saturday! How much time should Bryce get?

Reich said he would play -
I see Shenault, Hurst, Theilen being out top third down targets.
-
I wonder if this was always in the cards and the timing was based on Houston being a vet Reich was familiar with who wasn't excited about a full camp.
-
Folks tend to forget that the player is half of the scenerio. They chose where they want. Reddick went home to play and got away from a bad team.

At his age.. rational player to mentor a lot of young guys?
-
Maybe he can fetch something in a trade. Seems to be better suited to 4-3
-
I hoped we would roll with young guys but now that he's here I hope he tears it up

Defense isn't getting much attention overall and the only thing local coverage looks at is pass rush. As Evero stated he's looking for Johnson to set the edge first. That's not going to watched by camp media. Patience
-
If he can run there's no need to drop him if we don't have a better runner.
-
I wont be surprised to see our 3rd down targets being tight ends this year. As well as Shenault.
-
Blackshear had a higher drop percentage than Hubbard last season. They both dropped 1 pass.

marking their territory

If Rivera had competent GMs I think it would have been a little different story.

I haven't heard anything about Burns either. Almost nothing is being reported about the defense other than the long shots. Evero told him on draft day that he was to focus on setting the edge before rushing the QB so I suppose that is what they are working on and nobody is going to talk about run defense. My guess is he looks like a rookie in first few weeks of the NFL camp
