  1. I am still baffled why people think that DTs have a minimum of 5 sacks a year to be successful.
  2. That was on a weird kick that didn’t make it very far for some reason.
  3. Agreed, always much clearer picture. I have always associated that with the AFC being more finesse and pansy and the NFC being nitty gritty and roughneck.
  4. You say this as if we are supposed to believe you have ever gotten a woman off in your entire life.
  5. I haven't seen anyone say it yet, but I think the returners for both punting and kicking were just god awful. They went nowhere and got tackled quickly. Not sure if its the returner, the entire squad, or both.
  6. Wow.... The only player on this entire depth chart to have ever attempted a regular season pass in the NFL is Jamison Crowder. And I thought he was on the COVID list?
  7. Well, there might be soon be a lot of openings on USAjobs.gov if you can ever get that magical myth of a unicorn to ever hire you anywhere. I am a contractor and there seem to be a ton of people talking big about never getting it. We shall see...
  8. Did you know, Jamison Crowder is the only player on the entire Jets roster to have ever attempted a regular season pass in the NFL besides Josh Johnson? Josh Johnson...I swear he was starting for the Bucs 10 years ago and already had 10 years in the league by then.
  9. The Panthers are also currently undefeated baby!
  10. I am hoping a lot of this is sarcasm. These conversations always lead to the fact that OL and DL (defensive tackles in particular) are not stat stuffers or eye-catchers. A DT or OL may be putting on a dominant performance, but at the end of the game, you are not going to talk about how one OL put on a show or how one DT was so dominate it changed the outcome of the game (yea I get it, Aaron Donald and maybe an exception or two). For the most part, a lineman (offensive or defense) is not going to be named as the player of the game. If anything, most lineman's names are thrown out after the game after a noticeably bad performance. Ask yourself, of all the years watching football, how many times did you say "that OL/DT really put on a hell of a show today!"
  11. This too. Hurney was liable to pay him like a #1 and be stuck with him and his current injuries (and likely later ones) and contract while losing Robby and DJ over the years due to it. All this while losing out on Marshall
  12. I can't speak for everyone else, but I am not mad or upset about anything. I think that some things will never change, like Rivera shrugging it off instead of iterating how important he believes Samuel (who they are not getting on a bargain bin deal) can be to their offense and that he is excited to have Samuel healthy again as soon as possible.
  13. Did you totally miss the part about Rivera?
  14. How many times has that story been told? (Insert Samuel with practically any applicable name) Over and over and over and over and over........
  15. I am not happy he's injured or anything, I wish him a very speedy recovery. It was just super, super predictable. Big contract signing with a new team by a guy who seems to constantly be injured and is now injured again at the beginning of the season.
  16. I watched Hap & Leonard also, and really enjoyed it. Some of my favorite Omar moments are when he robs the clock shop. In that scene, he robs a known drug dealer who works on clocks, and then asks the drug dealer how much he owes him for the work he performed on his clock, then pays him the amount in full.
  17. "The Washington Football Team listed receiver Curtis Samuel as a non-participant after he tweaked his groin, Rapoport reported. "He wasn't feeling as well as we hoped … If Curtis plays, great. If not, great," coach Ron Rivera said, via NFL Network's Kim Jones." (Source: https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-roundup-latest-league-news-from-wednesday-sept-8) What's more shocking, Samuel is already hurt? Or Rivera's attitude on his pricey acquisition?
  18. Awe how cute, People think Pickles 2.0 is going to win him his first football game.
  19. There is only way one to prove the accuracy of this simulation......do the Packers lose the NFC Championship??
  20. Nuh uh, "super spreader events" are only when republicans get together (sarcasm) There's college football, pro wrestling, pro football, pro basketball, pro baseball, concerts. All jam packed full.
  21. Its things like this that really made me appreciate Smitty's commentary. I've been watching football for over 20 years and never put much thought into how much a QB is affected by bouncing on his feet. Smitty also blew me away talking about how and when to use your arms to catch a pass, like it extends your radius when you are near the sidelines as opposed to hitting the numbers and making the catch that way. Seems like common sense now but was mind blowing at the time.
  22. I really think his name should autochange to Bill Cosby. Tired of hearing about this jabroni.
  23. Did you know, before Josh Johnson was signed, Jamison Crowder was the only player for the Jets to have thrown a regular season pass in the NFL?
  24. Agreed, but I think it could help him see pinpoint windows when he is making risky throws. I don't remember where I read it, but Jameis once told everyone he couldn't see anything at all. Like at school, everything was a blur even if he was in the very front or very back of the class. If all he was seeing was blurs and no hands or numbers, this could have really effected him in the short game and made it almost impossible for him to see where to place the ball on deep shots. His new set of eyes could deter him from making as bad of decisions. (Or maybe not, maybe he will just keep doing dumb stuff lol)
