There's no way around it. Worst game off Bryce's short career so far. Gave Indy 14 points, 8 TDs to 11 TOs (7 INTs) on the year.
-
He took off a few stretches of snaps between getting abused in run D. Had a splashy TFL after he sat for around 4-5 snaps on a drive.

Burns down.

Let's take the remaining rookie QB class out of the equation, Bryce just looks bad. You don't need to compare. With protection or under duress, the velocity is not there on his throws, throws are behind or high way more than expected, and these sideline throws seem to just hang in the air forever. He just doesn't have the zip you want. Every week I keep saying, we've gotta be patient, can't just say bust quite yet, but he's just not looking good. There's only so many ways you can talk around that basic point.

They are definitely players, as in they play the game of football. I'll give you that.

Ouuuuch

Sacks allowed in a row? Possibly.

Both of y'all just stop. K? Geez.

Bolded what I'm agreeing with and did not expect. He's been having a really rough season. He's just getting manhandled.

I am still shocked we won last week haha
-
We have absolutely zero faith in this receiving corps
-
Shoulder to chest. Penalty lol FFS
-
Okay there you go, rest Burns for 3 snaps then bring him back in haha
-
Is Burns injured? He's been out for 3 snaps in a row
-
Yeah Pierce has been a major disappointment considering how good their OL has performed. It's been putting more pressure on the pasisng game and they've brought it.
-
I'd need to see it again honestly.

Good post. A minor counter is that Tank Dell was totally legit. Him, Rashee Rice & Charlie Jones led the NCAA in nearly every receiving metric last year. But yeah, Stroud has been working with backup lineman who've performed great. And then this receiving group, which he's throwing absolute dimes to. Stroud. is (A) playing great, (B) the coaching is excellent and (C) the supporting cast is outperforming expectations with a stud emerging in their rooks.

That's still something Young needs to correct. There is pressure but he was able to set. He should know (even if it's quick), he's not outrunning a 6 man front blitzing. Instant throw away.

NGL, even from a casual eye, seems like Burns is jogging out there today.

Half of 2022 is off the team. And two of those guys were trade ups. 5 picks that amounted to nothing in 1 year. There’s not a comparable draft around the league in that respect. Last year was crippling. Patriots have also been drafting pretty bad sans a few like Duggar and Gonzo. They’re falling into a similar situation but comparability doesn’t make it excusable.

I can see the Steelers targeting a guy like Jayden Daniels this next draft. They need to go for the boom/bust type at QB. The post-Ben era has been a lot of guys who have super apparent, limited skillsets and meh ceilings. Rudolph, Trubisky, Pickett, time for them to take a gamble at QB.

With a few more weeks out, he'll be hitting his availability at 39% in 3 seasons worth of games.

Enough time has passed - Feedback on the new playcaller
Bear Hands replied to Varking's topic in Carolina Panthers
The scripts are developed from the same architecture and we just don't have the personnel to properly run misdirects or have a field stretching (horiz or vert) offense. Brown is in new territory as a coach, so it's honestly hard to tell. But yeah, wasn't anything that encouraging. What isn't hard to tell is how similar this looks to Indy last year so I think there's a greater issue at play. So it's a bit diificult to parse much out yet from my vantage point.
