  1. ATL officially wins. Stroud played fine, but not great. Pierce struggled, which is surprising against the Falcons. Learning experience for Stroud. AR injured again. But that's what happens when a QB relies on his physicality.
  2. Yeah, probably his worst game? Looks like a lot of misses to Woods especially. Not sure why because I can't see the game. Still, nice to see he can come from behind...even though ATL is gonna win, barring some TO.
  3. Too bad Ridder's having his best game. Cutting through Houston's D like a hot knife through butter.
  4. Colts are good no matter who is QB or RB.
  5. Detroit does have maybe the best o-line in the NFL, but I'm warming to the idea of a Burns trade.
  6. Believe me, I'm wishing we didn't trade away all those assets for #1 now. We might have been able to trade to get #3 (like Houston did) and keep DJ. But even thinking about it makes me sick.
  7. I went back to some Alabama tape. I think we need weapons who can get themselves open underneath. BY loves to throw underneath. His best deep passes are down the middle. I think maybe one burner WR for go routes, but otherwise we need guys who can get open really quick inside and produce some YAC. Really miss Curtis Samuel, tbh.
  8. I would never say he's a "better" coach. But I think he was better for the Panthers. His style seemed to work. And we hadn't seen anything "work" in a long time.
  9. To be fair, a lot of people here claimed he didn't have great receivers at Alabama, but performed well.
  10. If things get worse for Chase Claypool in Chicago, might he become available? I think he can be a great receiver but clearly not connecting with Fields.
  11. Ah yes, GW...once again, you mischaracterize me. I am not a fan of Darnold. I didn't want him 2 years ago. I just merely presented a fact that the team had a winning record under he and Wilks last year. But facts are very inconvenient to you GW. Frankly, I grow weary of arguing with someone who has so little credibility, based on how wrong you've been. And the fact you keep making wrong assumptions about me.
  12. I think you have me confused with someone else. I have no idea if play calling is the problem. Nor do I know anything about Wilks' time with the Cards. I do know last season, we had a winning record with Wilks and Darnold. 2 years of futility, frankly, ended when Wilks took over. But that means NOTHING to you. So you, GW, would also be a terrible owner.
  13. It's sad because it looked like he being put in a great situation before the season started. A line that was very good last season. Veteran receivers. A new RB who had more than 1000 yards last season. An improved TE. Experienced coaching staff. Disaster so far.
  14. It's funny because you'd think his familiarity with Icky would be a positive.
  15. Now that I've finally seen the footage (couldn't watch the game here in Portland), I like a lot of what I saw from Bryce. Seems he made quicker decisions. Still holds on to the ball a bit. I wish someone other than Thielen was open. Maybe they are and we're not throwing to them. The pocket look cleaner than in Seattle. A running game would certainly help. It looked like Sanders made a better receiver than RB. Obviously, we should have capitalized in the red zone. That would have made a big difference. But I feel like Bryce looked a lot better.
  16. That's weird. I posted this on the Sanders thread but ended up here.
  17. On a side note, but slightly related...is it possible the bears might actually cut D'onta Foreman and Chase Claypool?
  18. I have to explain how much better they were when he took over? Do you have eyes to see? Some coaches are better in different situations.
  19. I'm of 2 minds about this. On the one hand, I'm glad Stroud isn't playing behind this o-line because of his style of play. On the other hand, it IS possible that he would have made Thielen, TMJ and Chark look as good as Woods, Collins and Dell look right now.
  20. The impression I got from Reich's presser is that they did draw up some deeper routes, but they abandoned them for some reason. Sounded like BY changed the Play. Am I wrong?
  21. Glad to see Icky improve. Surprised about TMJ. Mayes has to be better than Zavala. Hell, any experienced veteran should be better.
  22. I say, if a 6'1+ QB can do all the things Bryce can, pick them. But if a QB, UNDER 6ft, absolutely HAS to improvise and extend plays because he's can't see the field...BIG RED FLAG!!!
  23. Steve Wilks was able to do, in a short period of time, what Matt Rhule couldn't in 2 full seasons. Yet it was clear Wilks was never gonna be considered for HC officially. A good owner rewards success.
