Go on record now before the hire is made Re: Sean Payton
CanadianCat replied to GOAT's topic in Carolina Panthers
Dude, posts like this are why the internet sucks. -
I dont really care who or what we draft, I just want this new coach and Fitt to have a plan and stick to it. Rhule seemed to have a plan when he 1st came here, build the team then plunk in the QB. Then he seemed to panic and make swings that didnt make a lot of sense and his verbiage change to 'win now'. So I dont care if we trade down for future pick next year and run with whoever at QB this year OR we trade up and grab a QB but I just want the moves to make sense and to seemingly have a long term plan.

ok good to know!

Kellen Moore has never been on my radar but thinking about it, he has more OC coaching experience then some of the guys on this list, so his track record is longer and he is in a very high pressure environment. He would be an intriguing guy to bring in.
-
Heh, I didn't explain myself. I don't hope that he actually hurts himself. I was meaning I hope that the team sits him next game as in he got a 'random' mid week injury.
-
I'm ready to not win next week. DJ sitting helps that...
-
No offense to DJ... But I hope he has a random knee injury next week

Luke was never a 'stuffer' either. He never made they highlight tackles. TD is a top tier LB in the league on on a team that has had the very best LB's in the league for a long time. Listen to other teams talk about him, they give him far more respect than we do.

I was thinking exactly this. When you get 8+ seasons out of a player you really cannot complain.
-
Im married too, i get what your saying, ha! But I think that its pretty common that when OC's or DC's get hired away they take a lot of their support guys with them..
-
Someone else mentioned it here but I think you absolutely need to hire an offensive guy for your head coach and roll the dice that he's a good leader. Even for this example if you hire coach that is not your offensive guy and hire a stud OC he just gets picked up by another team. I think for that reason alone this position regardless of who it is has to be and offensive guy

... so he lives in Regina - which is like the dirty hootch of Canada. You need better internet friends ha!

Pretty sure players get media training. Also he's Canadian and Canadians tend to be more savvy and articulate

I dont think cutting Cam was an issue. Remember Cam had 1 year left on his contract and was coming off an injured shoulder and a poor season. Reports were that Cam wanted a new contract. So with all of that I think the coaching staff had to go look for an alternative. Cam was never going to come back on a 1 year contract.

Lets play a game like the title says.. undo 1 decision that Rhule made in his tenure.. Mine would be releasing Teddy Bridgewater after year one. IMO they had the right plan when they brought him into be a bridge QB. That signing made sense for that reason. 3 year contract sets up perfectly to draft and develop after you bring in more pieces to build a stronger team around the rookie. But either Rhule got impatient or he was pressured by Tepper, the decision to cut him set off a snowball effect of traded draft picks for bad QB play.

In Canada we cannot use NFL Plus, because DANZ has the streaming rights. Try them... it works on my phone no problem.
-
Why would we release him at this point?
-
I get what your saying. The higher the draft pick the more options. Yup totally agree. The only point I bring is that I would rather cheer for my team to win and celebrate those wins than hope to lose to get a higher pick and then hope we pick the right player. The draft is a lottery there is no guarantee for success, therefore I would rather win - even if that means a worse draft pick.
-
I would like to know how many QB's that are starting today in the NFL got drafted after pick 3.. I am assuming most. So lets stop stressing. I almost hope that both QB's are drafted before us.. means will have an absolute stud will drop to us.

Don't talk about playoffs.. well, sorry
CanadianCat replied to bLACKpANTHER's topic in Carolina Panthers
Im no tanker. Lets win! Playoffs!! -
Maybe Teddy Bridgewater wasn’t that bad….
CanadianCat replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
He wasn't BAD, he just wasn't good. Say what you want about swinging and missing on Teddy, Darnold and Baker, a positive about this team is they will not be content on QB's and keep swinging.- 66 replies

Honestly, the best situation is that Darnold balls out and we can use that top pick on a different position.

Its people like you that make the internet the hot garbage it is.. Fuuuck. Like OP makes a decent post, says he was wrong about about an opinion and your response is to crap on the guy. Nice. Who knows, maybe he does the same back to you but I for one get super sick of people 'taking receipts' to poo on people when their unprofessional opinion are wrong. Gosh this place can suck at times.

WILKS never wanted to tank. He is trying out for 32 teams right now.
