He has one receiver and that OL makes the Panthers' seem solid. Watch more games. Without Howell, UNC would be getting wrecked week in and week out.

You show up within seconds of any mention of Howell with your "unbiased" shade. It wouldn't be so important for you to do that if you weren't biased and emotionally compelled. You're biased. That's all. Embrace it. Lean into it. We all have biases. It's okay.

Have you been watching this year? I think you're inadvertently telling on yourself. He's had less clean pockets than Darnold has this year. The UNC OL has barely been present. There's a reason why he has multiple 100 yard rushing games this year. The guy is running for his life every snap.

I honestly haven't paid any attention to the scouting reports because I've watched every college game he's played. I really can't see us going vet castoff again. If we go vet, I think we'll be shopping for a higher tier option. I'm just not seeing the right fit out there. Guys like Wilson and Rodgers ain't signing off on coming here.

The crazy thing is the OL is the same. They did play really well last year and they've been trash this year. Turns out, they were just floated by having two NFL RBs. Take away those two drafted RBs and two drafted WRs and they get exposed while Howell and Josh Downs perform heroics to carry the offense.

If we continue to suck, Rhule might be betting his NFL future on Sam Darnold. If he's dumb enough to do that, well... Without dramatic improvements, if we go into next season with Darnold as our QB, I'll be conducting the "fire Rhule" train.

I sure hope we are. People who claim he's having a down year aren't actually watching the games. UNC has one of the worst OLs in D1 college football and exactly one producing WR. What Howell is doing given the situation is remarkable. Howell is physically comparable to Mayfield but I think he has a lot more between the ears.
