  1. #6 would be my choice and I'd still sign another free agent IOL.
  2. IMO, Chinn's ideal role is as a cover 3 strong safety. Think prime Kam Chancellor in Seattle. That's a system where the FS covers the deep third (think prime Earl Thomas in Seattle) and the SS covers underneath in the mid-range or drops down into the box. We need a legit over the top FS to free him up to do this. That's the type of player we really don't have any history with. We've always prioritized SS types at safety. Deon Grant is probably the closest we have in our history to fitting the bill.
  3. Once you transition into "just here to watch the train wreck" mode it gets a lot less frustrating. Just FYI.
  4. It was crazy how quickly that game got out of hand coming down the stretch. I kept waiting for K to call a timeout to stop the bleeding and regroup but he never did. Even former players in the crowd were signaling for a timeout. Everyone saw what was happening except for K. Duke was on the ropes but it didn't occur to him until it was top late to do anything about it.
  5. All the sobbing faces in the crowd were hilarious. You might be the most privileged people on Earth if you're crying over an egomaniac's botched curtain call.
  6. Hurney Derangement Syndrome. As long as it's not Hurney it's good and to be defended no matter what. These people still think Gettleman was brilliant.
  7. He's just not very good. Big, athletic, powerful dude with subpar skill set who hasn't improved. He'll always have a punchers chance but legitimately good fighters are going to beat him most of the time. That's back to back 1st round knockout losses and he got flat out dominated last night.
  8. It was awesome watching K just wanting to runaway and hide during the festivities. Shitting on his curtain call was great. He wanted this year to be all about him. Getting his ass kissed everywhere along the way. Well last night at the crescendo the Heels didn't play along. Loved Bacot's comments after the game. We were either going to win a basketball game or a fight tonight. Last night highlighted the difference between UNC and K. Dean Smith and Roy Williams both quietly retired post-season. K needed a farewell tour exalting his greatness. K had a huge ceremony to worship him after the game. Hubert told the postgame reporter to talk to his players instead. At Carolina it's all about Carolina and Hubert gets that. At duke it's all about K. I don't know if Hubert pans out in the long run, but damn last night was awesome and I look forward to seeing how he shapes the program in coming years.
  9. He's started a ton of games. The vast majority have been bad. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut occasionally.
  10. It was an illusion. As soon as the rest of the league had some film to study of him in our system he was done. He must have blatantly obvious tendencies on film.
  11. OL is a facilitator position, period. It allows you to get the best out of your skill position players but if you're trash there, well you're just trash.
  12. They both have GREAT arms with good mobility and a great ability to throw on the move. They're both significantly above average athletes for NFL QBs
  13. Sam Howell had this year's fastest ball at the Combine at 59mph. For reference: Josh Allen: 62mph Patrick Mahomes: 60mph Cam Newton: 56mph Justin Herbert: 55mph Like I've been saying, Howell has a certified cannon.
  14. Brees was very good on the move in his younger days. 4.7 is a solid time for a QB even in today's NFL (Rodgers ran a 4.71 and Mahomes ran a 4.8, Burrow didn't run).
  15. It's so simple. That's why there's all these old school pocket statues lighting up the league currently.
  16. Manning's immobility is a myth. No, he wasn't going to take off scrambling but his mobility within the pocket was very good.
  17. Who are all those 5'11" guys who have been hyped up and flopped?
  18. Wilson's talent is legit. He's like a bigger armed Burrow physically. Does he have it mentally? We'll see.
  19. I'm intrigued by Corral. If there's a better QB early, it's him. I think Ridder is a good backup. I just don't see him as a starter. Pickett? See Ridder. Malik is a total wildcard. If I had to bet money, I think he gets a GM fired.
  20. We'll find out next year. Definitely not writing a guy off after one year under Gase with the Jets.
  21. I'll take Sam Howell. Y'all can have the field. Spoiler alert: I'm gonna win.
  22. Those guys were drafted 20+ years ago. That's the problem. If you're relying on having to have a Brady or Manning level football mind... well, you're probably fuged.
  23. The prototype has changed greatly over the years though. No QB was knocked for lack of mobility on the '80s but those prototype pocket statues get significantly downgraded in the .modern era.
