  1. I was flat out wrong about Allen but I always said Herbert had all the talent in the world and my doubt was 100% because of how he was used at Oregon and the fact that staff showed no confidence in him in key situations. That's clearly an indictment of them in hindsight.
  2. It makes sense if you're also a chicken poo. People worthy of the job would have the guts to tell the truth. When the chips were down she proved herself unworthy. She knew the job she was signing up for and she failed. Lash out at "activists" if that makes you feel better but all you're doing is just admitting that you're ba coward who would've done the same thing. Congrats. And again, you're saying "lying" and "fake" while also admitting that you understand the process and how it was manipulated here to skirt responsibility. Stay in your feelings. Coward
  3. I hope this leads to a lot of backlash against the DA's office. Declining to press charges because you can't secure a conviction and don't want to waste resources? Fine. Sure, a bitter pill to swallow for some but an honorable admission and decision. Intentionally fumbling in front of a grand jury? That's just chicken poo.
  4. Pointing out the reality of what happened here isn't emotional. Getting butthurt about someone pointing out that reality when you seem to understand the reality yourself seems a bit emotional though.
  5. This is a myth that needs to die. We have the richest owner in the league. We're 22-43 under him. Our best record under him was 7-9 and that was in his very first year when he pretty much left the football side of the organization untouched. Since then? Three straight 5 win seasons. Tied for the worst three year win total in Panthers' history. Officially the worst three year win percentage in Panthers' history given the 17 game season last year.
  6. I never understood any argument for how we have changed our situation for the better in order to get Watson to change his mind on waiving his no trade clause to be sent here. His options just got significantly broadened. He was refusing to waive his no trade clause when we were literally his only option. If anything, we're an even less attractive designation now than we were then.
  7. So you agree then. She copped out and passed the blame. That's not a DA worth having.
  8. Honestly, yeah. Let's just go ahead and get this over with and rip the bandaid off so I can officially cut ties as a Panthers fan. That heats wallowing around in fandom misery for a few more years until finally accepting that Tepper has truly utterly ruined the franchise.
  9. FYI, comments like this get the permaban. No warnings, no wrist slaps. Bye.
  10. They won't have to completely gut their draft capital for years to come though after the haul they got for Wilson. We would. Their cap situation is better too. They're far better positioned to build around Watson than we would be.
  11. If you don't think the prosecutor intentionally punted then you don't understand it.
  12. A lot of people just don't understand how incredibly easy it is for a prosecutor to secure an indictment from a grand jury.
  13. All you have to say is that you don't understand how the grand jury system works. That's okay.
  14. But will he waive his no trade clause to come here? What has changed to make us a better destination than when his options were more limited with potential charges hanging over his head yet he wouldn't waive the clause then? If anything, we're a WORSE destination now.
  15. Then she should've had the guts not to bring it before the grand jury. This was a cop out. "Oh look public and media, I tried." Yes, she knows she's highly unlikely to get a conviction but she punted in front of the grand jury so that she could still claim that she tried to seek justice when anyone who knows anything about the grand jury system knows that a prosecutor has to go in front of the GJ with the intention of not securing an indictment in order to actually not secure an indictment.
  16. It's not a conspiracy theory. Here, read if you actually care. https://www.pooleshaffery.com/news/2014/december/a-crash-course-in-the-american-grand-jury-system/ Literally all the prosecutor had to do was put a single accuser on the witness stand to accuse Watson of having committed a crime against her and Watson would have been indicted of that crime. Period. End of story. The prosecutor basically had to tell the grand jury that there was no chance in hell of getting a conviction.
  17. You don't know what you're talking about. Go look it up. Grand juries indict 99% of the time. Have people accusing you of having committed a crime against them is more than enough to secure an indictment. The prosecutor punted.
  18. Absolutely. It's extremely easy for a prosecutor to secure an indictment. Basically present anything. The slightest shred of evidence. You pretty much have to intentionally throw the case not to get an indictment. Grand juries return indictments literally 99% of the time.
  19. A prosecutor can get an indictment on a ham sandwich. But a prosecutor can also intentionally put forth a very flimsy case to a grand jury on a high profile public case that they know they probably can't get a conviction on so they can tell the public and media "aw shucks, I tried".
  20. Edited thread title for clarification. We should see a resolution to all this trade speculation pretty quickly now.
  21. Just not enough to win in the NFL... or actually beat good teams at the college level for that matter.
  22. Stidham was a good college QB and a 4th round pick. I'll give him that. Stidham wasn't a bum. Bo Nix was a bum though.
  23. Barrett and Haskins weren't bums in college though. That's what y'all are missing. Willis was gonna be kept on the bench at Auburn by a bum.
  24. This I definitely agree with. I just think you're vastly overvaluing Taylor and Henderson. Pride honestly looked bad. Like not NFL roster quality bad. Henderson is trending pretty hard toward outright bust. Without Bouye, we basically only have one "proven" NFL outside CB and that's a huge reach of a statement considering Horn only played in three games as a rookie and is coming off a season ending injury.
