I've said it a few times recently. Both seasons look eeriely similar. Promising start followed by a faceplant a few games in and no ability to adapt and recover. I think they're right. It's just college coaches doing college coaching. They think they can simply out-execute everyone else. Scheming? Nah. We do what we do. We just have to execute better. That's probably why Rhule couldn't beat good college teams either. When he ran into more talented teams in college he lost. When he runs into teams that have a few games of film to study at the NFL level, he loses more often than not. Phil Snow has floated this turd. He's the only coach on this staff who has somewhat impressed me schematically.

Most shelters are over capacity right now. It shouldn't surprise anyone. A lot of people are just pieces of poo who waste good oxygen.

Several players had career years last year. I didn't like Brady's play calling at all in recent weeks, but that was after Rhule started speaking out about what he wanted out of the offense. I just don't think Rhule and Brady were ever on the same page. Rhule is basically a young John Fox despite what he says. He wants to win with smothering defense and ball control offense. Good luck winning championships with that in the modern NFL... or high level college football for that matter.

Well, he has a $70M contract so he can sure afford to buy some tickets.

Approaching the end of his second season I would expect to be seeing progress on that curve.

If your HC needs "coaching up" that's a problem.

I don't think that'll come into play until we're mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. Not sure if losing to ATL would accomplish that or not.

It's really hard to rebuild when you're trading future picks for players. You rebuild by accumulating draft capital, not trading it away.

You don't shoot your cap situation to hell and trade away half your upcoming draft to rebuild. When you need a QB and four starting OL, you're not all that close... especially when your cap situation isn't fantastic and you have minimal draft capital to work with.

Honestly, the rebuild talk was just to temper expectations and buy time. Everything we SAID indicated rebuild. Everything we DID indicated these guys thought they could produce a quick turnaround and compete. Now here we are with a cap situation that was setup to be really good looking mediocre at best with a draft class heavily hampered by trading away picks for players that clearly aren't doing much to help us right now. Honestly, I think Rhule is just a snake oil salesman.

It really would be. As much as I'd love him here I only want him here if we get our poo together which honestly doesn't look like a promising proposition. Outside of that, yeah the Steelers are probably the best case scenario.

There have been more Steelers representatives around Chapel Hill and UNC games than any other NFL team. There's only one high level NFL prospect on UNC.

Did anyone actually watch the game? This was a game plan of necessity. It was bitter cold with 30-50mph winds. Not exactly conducive to airing it out.

Not just QB. The OL is a dumpster fire. Every receiver has regressed. The D has looked like trash two the past two games. I'm really not seeing anything for Rhule to hang his hat on right now in terms of signs of progress.
