  1. Pretty damn spot on. My only disagreement is that I'm not at all certain that Rhule will recognize that there's no future in Jimmy G level vet QB additions. Everything in his brief NFL experience says the opposite. But yeah, I expect our QB next year to likely be Jimmy G or Kenny Pickett. I can't believe Tepper is willing to sit back and watch this happen.
  2. He's not coming here. He's already endured a dumpster fire in Chicago under Nagy. That's why he jumped on the opportunity to go to Buffalo as a clear backup without shopping for a potential situation to compete for a starting job. He was looking for a reset in a stable situation. He's not going to jump right back into a dumpster fire. I honestly think he'd resign in Buffalo as the backup before he'd come here to compete for the starting job. He knows he almost certainly only has one more opportunity to legit compete for a starting job. He's not going to waste that on a situation like ours where failure is virtually guaranteed. Sorry, that's just the sad reality.
  3. That's been a pretty decent synopsis of my internet experience both in CO and NC. I like to live out in the sticks but that's the price you pay for living out in the sticks. I can only see one other house from my house and I can only see it during the winter.
  4. The other owners reminiscing years from now about that time David Tepper as a new hot shot smartest guy in the room owner went out and gave a college coach out of Temple and Baylor who had never beaten a legit top 25 team a record shattering contract and full control over football operations. We should've known we were getting setup when they forced JR to sell to this clown. Not like they would've forced a sale to a guy who was going to possibly clean their clocks on the field.
  5. He hired an NFL neophyte and quickly gave him full control because he was so sold on "the process". Now he can't deal with the reality that he was wildly wrong so he's going to let the NFL neophyte completely wreck the organization as he tries to learn on the fly while growing increasingly desperate. It's not hard to envision how this whole thing likely plays out and it's not a pretty picture.
  6. All those clowns that used to argue if it was Hurney or Gettleman... the answer was yes. Same here. Is it Rhule or Tepper? Yes.
  7. Tepper is the problem. When it comes to running a football organization he's a moron. The proof is in the pudding.
  8. Probably gonna be more poster traffic in the "other games" game day thread.
  9. Agreed. My concern is 100% David Tepper. I'm just not seeing any signs of competency from him as an NFL owner.
  10. Agreed. I don't follow soccer either. Soccer is an absurd sport IMO. Athletically we're pathetic compared to much of the animal kingdom with our upright stature to free our hands and our opposable thumbs allowing us to grasp things being some of our very few advantages. Hey, let's make a sport that virtually eliminates those advantages!
  11. It wouldn't be that hard for me to go back to being a general NFL fan. That's what I was prior to the Panthers drafting Peppers. I had favorite players more so than favorite teams and basically watched whatever the most intriguing matchup was on at the time. I had a casual interest in the Panthers as the local team but definitely wasn't a Panthers fan per se. That's likely the direction I'm trending again under Tepper. What's more enjoyable, tuning in to watch guys like Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Aaron Donald, etc. or tuning in to watch Matt Rhule make an ass of himself? I mean, it's a pretty easy answer if you're being honest.
  12. If they counted turnovers in a hockey game the number would be in the hundreds. Hell, much of the game is played with the concept of possession being fluid and vague at best. In terms of turnovers per possession, basketball is much more in line with football than it is hockey.
  13. I respect hockey and the skills involved I just can't get into it. I'm far too rooted in football and basketball. Hockey just looks like a sloppy turnover fest to my eye. I'm just far too rooted in sports with a much more obvious concept of possession.
  14. We're going to waste a lot more than another year. These clowns are going to gut our future draft capital and quite possibly our cap space in an embarrassingly desperate futile attempt to win now. The resulting carcass of an organization will be highly unappealing to qualified in demand candidates because of the massive uphill battle and lack of roster building capital to fix it. Welcome to Tepper and Rhule's clown show. My advice to everyone? Start identifying a "second favorite team" to start following or just largely transition to being a general NFL fan and watch whatever games are most intriguing. I did the latter down the stretch last season. I'll probably do both this coming season. I'm basically weaning myself off of the Panthers until I see any sign of intelligence and competency from Tepper.
  15. Zion Johnson has been my favorite 2nd round target for awhile now. If only we had a 2nd round pick. But hey, at least we have THE Sam Darnold. It's gonna hurt watching those picks come up and looking at the intriguing names at positions of dire need still on the board.
  16. Hopefully he's impatient enough to throw in the towel and sell the team.
  17. What is becoming abundantly clear is that Tepper might very well be an insurmountable problem.
  18. I don't think there's any planning whatsoever other than desperately seeking to get lucky while overspending for veteran QBs the rest of the league is moving on from.
  19. I'm done hoping for Tepper's poo show. I'm just hoping at this point that Howell finds a nice landing spot in the draft. Tepper took a mediocre franchise that occasionally flirted with greatness and turned it into the joke of the league with stunning efficiency. This poo is over folks.
  20. I've always lived in rural areas so Starlink would be by far the fastest home internet I've had access to.
  21. Oh my god. Kirk Cousins is just Teddy Bridgewater maximizing his abilities. Good enough to compete for playoff berths, not good enough to get you anywhere on the playoffs. Hard pass.
  22. They've had my $100 deposit for nearly a year now. It was supposed to be available in my area by late summer/early fall of last year then got bumped to spring of this year.
  23. If he'd take a $5M check to go away that check would've already been written and this whole thing swept under the rug.
