  1. At being logically inconsistent? Yeah, I try to be.
  2. I wish you had the self awareness to realize how much trash you talk indirectly about the Panthers while upholding yourself as the ultimate fan. You're basically insinuating that their division is trash while we would be tied for last in that division for winning seasons since our inception. We have the fewest in the NFC South too since it's inception in its current form in '02. Just not a whole lot of reflection going on before you throw shade at other organizations for having a history that shines a lot brighter than our own.
  3. The division they play in... Vikings: 13 winning seasons since '95. Bears: 8 winning seasons since '95 Lions: 7 winning seasons since '95 Reminder, the Panthers have 7 winning seasons since '95.
  4. They compete year in and year out. Period. They're aren't many organizations that Panthers fans can look at and laugh at. The Packers certainly aren't among them.
  5. The Packers compete year in and year out. They have a total of four losing seasons since we entered the league. We have a total of seven winning seasons in that same timeframe. I wouldn't say they're the absolute gold standard either, but they're certainly one of the better ran teams in the league.
  6. Ask Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson. Then again, the Lions are one of the worst ran organizations in the NFL and the Packers are one of the best.
  7. Everything makes sense now. We just stumbled backasswards into the Huddle's own version of the unifying theory of everything.
  8. Yep, this has fully devolved into a tweedle dee and tweedle dum circle jerk. This is like watching anti-vaxxers high five each other.
  9. Ahahahaha!!! Yeah, the guy you accused of dreaming about our coach getting fired is a homer. The guy who you two think is "obsessed" with our current QB failing is a homer. You can't even keep your stories straight over a couple of posts.
  10. This is why it's difficult to take you seriously. As long as someone agrees with you, you encourage them. They're to stick to their guns, never give up, never surrender. If someone doesn't agree with you, they have an obsession. It's fine to disagree. Hell, it would be awfully boring if everyone agreed. There would be nothing to talk about. My only issue is posters like you and @SBBlue who take disagreement personally. It's okay to be positive about Darnold. Hell, I hope y'all are right. I hope the Jets were such an awful organization that they just made Darnold look terrible. But the white knight homerism just isn't necessary.
  11. Yeah, we know you're emotional. And you're mischaracterizing my position. Because you're emotional and can't communicate in an intellectually honest manner. But, hey... you do you.
  12. Yep, I'm obsessed with the Panthers getting a legit franchise QB. It's the only way to be relevant year in and year out in the NFL. Sorry, not sorry.
  13. It's the dead period of the off-season. There's literally nothing to do but speculate. You just seem to take it personally when someone has a different opinion.
  14. No. I actually like Rhule and hope he won't get himself fired. But if he fails to find a QB he will.
  15. He's gambling by basically refusing to gamble. The QB position is the one position you absolutely have to have. We have tried to bargain shop twice now. I have a feeling that if Darnold flops, we'll be swinging BIG at QB next off-season.
  16. Kawann Short was released in February. That pic isn't from this off-season.
  17. We should be shopping at FS and hopefully better options at OL will present themselves. We may be waiting for camp cuts either way.
  18. Because I'll be surprised if Darnold doesn't fail. I'm already assuming they're gonna have to take that third swing.
  19. If Rhule swings and whiffs on three QBs, he's probably gone. Listen to what Tepper says. You have to have a coach, GM, and QB. If the first two can't find that third piece, then you probably don't have the right guys in place in those spots either.
  20. You sure about that? High pick busts almost always get a second shot somewhere else. Similarly performing low round picks often get bounced out of the league for similar play. The same thing happens in the "real world". If you have a top 10 MBA, you're going to have to get fired from several firms before you stop getting jobs you aren't cut out for.
  21. I don't know about that. If Darnold flops while Fields and/or Jones have success, this staff might be on thinner ice than we think. I'd be willing to bet they'd be on their last swing at QB. If their next one fails while we're still struggling in the W-L column Tepper would probably be wise to move on.
  22. I think you may have hit the nail on the head. Had Darnold been an afterthought 6th round pick like Minshew and performed like he did in NY he would've been lucky to get another shot elsewhere as a primary backup, much less as a starter. Had Minshew been a former #3 overall pick, he would've been very tasty trade bait and the media message surrounding him would've been about how the Jags had failed him and we're moving on from a promising young QB too soon.
  23. I would've preferred Minshew over Darnold personally. Both were in absolute dumpster fire situations, but Minshew performed significantly better in his particular dumpster fire than Darnold did. Minshew started 9 games last year and threw for 2259 yards with 16 TDs vs. 5 INTs. Extrapolated to 16 games, that's roughly 4050 yards 29 TDs and 9 INTs. The Jags still went 1-7 in his starts. THAT'S how bad their dumpster fire was. They went 1-7 with a QB who was basically putting up borderline top 10 QB numbers.
