He's probably butthurt. He was likely hoping for, maybe expecting an extension. Instead, we drafted his replacement. I expect him to show up with a chip on his shoulder at camp. He's playing to audition elsewhere for his next contract.

Moose had nearly 1500 yards and 16 TDs in '04 when Smitty broke his arm. Anderson is our best #2 WR since then, but yeah... Moose was definitely better.

It really doesn't matter with Little. He probably needed an outstanding offseason to have a shot at the roster. Myself and others said it at the time. Bradberry wasn't just the better football player, but he was a better football player at a considerably more valuable position. Another Marty hallmark - zero awareness of positional value, hence all the cap space and draft equity he spent over the years on RBs and off the ball LBs while we fielded trash at OT, CB, etc.

To be clear, I had no issues with extending Short. My meltdown on Short came when Hurney "restructured" him creating a lot more guaranteed money in his contract. That's a classic Hurney move - restructuring aging vets creating more guaranteed money to get immediate cap relief. Guys Hurney restructured almost always are guys who should be being released instead. He takes a problem and makes it even worse.

We were mad because we had Norman tagged and then rescinded it after any and all good FA options had already signed elsewhere leaving us forced to do exactly what we did - just spam picks at CBs out of desperation.

I think that's by far the most likely scenario.

Yep. The combo of a QB who has not been good and a lot of other weapons to spread the ball around probably makes it unlikely for him to out up career year type numbers.

I think he just wants the best possible situation to put up the type of numbers that will get him paid.

Why else would Robby want out? Why else would we want him out? He performed great relative to his contract last year. To be clear, I don't buy the rumors. But IF they're true, that's the most likely reason.

If we release Robby I think it's because he's asked for it. If he's asked for it, I think I know why.

Watson isn't getting traded until his situation gets some clarification. I'd be shocked if Aaron Rodgers gets traded. I think Julio will be traded. He wants out and the Falcons could use the cap relief.

Anyone who thinks our biggest question is anything other than "have we solved the QB problem?" is absolutely kidding themselves.

He threw at about a 55% clip in the other playoff games. Had three INTs in the NFC CG.

Yep, it's why IMO we have four guys who are deserving of the HOF. Peppers is the shoe in. He's in. 1st ballot. Cam should be in. His rushing TD numbers for a QB will probably never be touched. Luke should be in. He was the best defensive player in the league for most of his career. Smitty should be in. He put up HOF numbers in a three yards and a cloud of dust offense. Gross is the best OT we ever had but he's one of those "Hall of Very Good" players. He's only remembered so fondly by us because of all the straight trash we've trotted out at OT. Olsen was great. I just don't think he put up the TD numbers he needed to in order to get a bust. TD, Morgan, and Beason all had HOF talent and ability, the injury roulette wheel just didn't spin the right way for them.

They won that game because KC ran out of healthy OL. It's really that simple.

Yep. Howell and Rattler look like top 5 slam dunks barring something unforeseen. Everyone else is a big question mark. There's talent out there, but a lot of questions to be answered.

I think there's a decent chance that next year's draft is a two QB draft though in terms of slam dunk 1st round QBs.

Yep. I HOPE Darnold is the answer, but I THINK it's highly doubtful that he will be.
