  1. Well, I guess they wrapped up their QB draft evaluations. Go ahead and pencil in Zach Wilson to the Jets at #2.
  2. If I'm gonna take a shot at an inconsistent QB, I'd take a shot at a far more talented prospect who has played at a much higher level in Fields.
  3. Kellen Mond? Yeah, he's gonna have to ex-spleen that one.
  4. If there's a similarity to the mortgage crisis going on, it's the moratorium on foreclosures. When all these moratoriums expire we will definitely see a flood of foreclosures hit the market because it'll be a year's backlog to work through but we'll have to see how that impacts the market. Given the short supply the market seems well positioned to absorb it. If you're sitting on a house that needs significant updating, I'd be selling that thing right now though. I'm seeing a lot of those types of houses selling for premium prices right now. Once the foreclosure market comes back those types of properties will see a significant hit.
  5. Where's the "Half-ass it for Howell" option?
  6. Yep. I have no hate toward Jones as a college QB. Dude lit it up. Trask neither for that matter. But I don't want any part of either as the Panthers' next starting QB.
  7. If I was in Vegas I'd throw $20 on the Jets and Dolphins both.
  8. He's probably grading without a position curve. But there is a position curve.
  9. Hmmmm... that would actually make a lot of sense for us.
  10. No one else? We signed Bruce Irvin. We had Marquis Haynes who fits a 3-4 OLB role better than a 4-3 DE role, same for Christian Miller who was drafted the same year as Burns. The issue with that D was that we sold out TOO hard on rushing the passer. We couldn't rush the passer at all in '18 so we doubled down on speed on the edges with seemingly no thoughts on stopping the run and it showed on the field. It looked like what it was - a 4-3 scheme playing 3-4 OLBs at DE.
  11. In talk, yes. On the field? Nah.
  12. Was he? Ron did a lot of talking about running a 3-4 but he never actually did.
  13. Yeah, that was a lot of bad mortgages on five year arms. Everyone knew those loans would go bad but they got packaged into bonds and sold so many times no one could even keep track of who was going to get stuck holding the bag. That crisis was completely predictable. Hell, I remember sitting in Econ 101 in the fall of '00 and having the professor break it down almost to the letter. The only thing he was off on was timing. He thought it was gonna hit in '04/'05 but it held on a few more years and the bubble only got bigger.
  14. Why would we sign a 3-4 OLB?
  15. There's just no way all the egos involved would swallow their pride. Peppers returned many years later. Cam and the Panthers will eventually make nice, but it won't be just one year later.
  16. The Cam bridge has been burned. Smoke is gone. Coals have gone cold. Just stop.
  17. Blind Cam fans and blind Cam haters constantly derailing Huddle threads
  18. I haven't watched enough of Mac Jones to come to that conclusion myself, but it doesn't surprise me in the least. Everything about Jones' game is predicated on everything going perfectly. In that Alabama offense with a good scheme and dominant athletes at nearly every position, he was setup for huge success. But anyone with the ability to make a quick read and deliver an accurate throw would've been.
  19. I think he's expected to immediately take a coaching job with the Texans.
  20. Have you seen how bad some of the starters in the NFL are? If there's any confidence a guy can do that, he's going to get the opportunity to compete for a starting role.
  21. I was in the same boat. I really thought this thing was gonna pop and I was sitting on cash waiting for it to happen. As long as inventory stays crazy low and demand is outpacing supply it ain't gonna pop.
  22. I've heard he would've been the pick but not that we were trying to trade up.
  23. Please. Hurney would sit right there at #8 and draft Micah Parsons. That's the low hanging fruit Hurney move in this draft.
  24. I'm down. I've said it before that Lawrence is by far the safest QB pick in the draft but it won't shock me a bit if Wilson ends up being the best.
