  1. It's no different than the real world. A small percentage of players have this type of leverage. This idea that "players" as a whole are suddenly gaining tremendous leverage is pipe dream.
  2. The Rams bailed on L.A. too and yet there were teams falling all over themselves to get back into that market, including quite ironically the Rams.
  3. I wouldn't be so sure about that. That's the QB that helped him as a former UDFA display the play to go on to receive a life changing free agent contract. Darnold can actually throw the ball down the field and going down the field is what Robby Anderson does best.
  4. To play devil's advocate, one is 25 and just entering his prime at the most important position in football. The other is on the wrong side of 30 and is a couple of years removed from elite level play while still getting elite level pay. It's not hard to understand the difference in approach, but it's also why I'm not willing to go full Adam Shefter and give credit where none is due.
  5. Why? They're in the 5th largest metro area in the country.
  6. Bingo. There's also a LOT more NFL prospects than just Trevor Lawrence at Clemson. I'd be baffled if we didn't send coaches.
  7. He had a contract!!! Why wasn't he willing to honor it???
  8. They're actually currently in the process of handling their face of the franchise with anything but class.
  9. He's only 31, but man he has a ton of wear and tear on him. The way he plays takes a toll on the body. I think he'sdone as an elite DL but he'll still be a good player for someone.
  10. Sure, he's no longer what he once was but he'll still be a very effective player for someone. We all know something about Houston too. They're currently the biggest dumpster fire in the NFL and possibly all of professional sports.
  11. The poo show continues in Houston. I expect Watt to go ring chasing. He deserves to go to a contender.
  12. Samuel and Long would be absolute steals in the 3rd and 4th. Honestly, I expect both to go in the 2nd thought there's a chance for Long to be there for our 3rd. His upside is relatively limited but he's really good at everything.
  13. Speaking of centers, I'm curious how much Humphrey being left handed might impact his stock. I honestly can't recall a left handed center right off the top of my head.
  14. I can't find much to disagree with other than Etienne, but then again he's pretty much the consensus #1 RB. I just see zero special traits and a "good" college RB who benefitted greatly from playing in an elite college offense. I think he's a JAG in the NFL but we'll see.
  15. Yeah, it's WAY too early for this stuff. Like every other draft class, there will be some promising looking rookies that flop and there will be some very good players who needed some NFL development before you see what they're going to become.
  16. Honestly, it seems like it's be way easier to sell a promising talented rookie over a trash veteran. Both to a staff/front office and fanbase.
  17. Prepare yourself for what's to come, son... All bombs. All day.
  18. I missed a call from a 704 number this morning. I'm just gonna assume it was Fitts seeing if I can still chuck that pigskin.
  19. Agreed. I think Reid deserves a TON of credit for Mahomes because he's worked wonders with every QB he's ever had, but I don't think there's many situations where Mahomes doesn't become an elite NFL QB.
  20. Why would you specifically target that team as your desired trade partners though, unless Watson has told you that's the only trade he's signing off on which I wouldn't completely rule out.
  21. Hindsight is always 2020 and it would've been nothing short of baffling at the time, but our biggest mistake knowing what we know now is drafting Christian McCaffrey instead of Patrick Mahomes and that's also true for the other 7 teams that were ahead of us in that draft.
  22. Dumb. Even if the Bengals would take Herbert in a redraft, there's ZERO chance Burrow falls to #5.
  23. Why would the Texans insist on trading him only to an in-conference opponent? Sorry, that's just not adding up.
