  1. I don't think he's had much of a chance and we've already seen another QB who disappointed under Gase thrive once out from under Gase. The Jets are rumored to be leaning toward keeping him anyway.
  2. I wish Lance was going to the Senior Bowl. I wonder why Jones is going and he's not? Neither are seniors.
  3. Monty Rice is an interesting mid-round prospect and I'm glad we have Snowden. Really intriguing prospect but it's hard to find an NFL comp for him at 6'7" 240 as an off the ball LB.
  4. Yeah, at his best he looks as good as anyone, but there's just too many games where it looks like he doesn't show up. That's concerning but interviews and talking to his coaches might alleviate some of those concerns.
  5. I hate to tell ya, but if you're not pushing the legal boundaries you're going to be losing to the people who do.
  6. Agreed. If he looks good in that environment it should definitely help him.
  7. Yeah, Fitts basically outlined the prototypical NFL QB. Well, there's a few of those guys in this draft.
  8. He's accurate. He's smart. But his arm is average and his mobility is below average. Sounds like Tom Brady, right? Well, the problem is that there's a long list of NFL busts that fit that description and not many Tom Bradys. NFL prototypes exist for a reason.
  9. I think Jones is likely going to basically be a less athletic version of Teddy at the NFL level. The physical limitations will show up when his backups aren't better than his opponents' starters.
  10. Going back to Fitt's opinion on draft pick values and that 16-18 cutoff for elite talent... Does that make it more likely for us to move up in the 1st or trade 1sts for Watson? He said they aren't looking for quick fixes but are looking for a quick turnaround. I presume that means he doesn't anticipate a great chance at those future 1sts meeting that 16-18 cutoff.
  11. IMO, it means that Carroll and company is that much better than Rivera and company.
  12. I love Wilson as a prospect, but I'd take the sure thing. Watson is a proven MVP caliber NFL QB. Wilson is a very promising prospect. Plenty of those very promising prospects don't work out.
  13. My opinion is that it's dangerous to have those types of preconceived notions. Every draft class is different and needs to be evaluated as such.
  14. If you're going to have to part ways with Watson, you fanbase is gonna be PISSED. But, if you landed a package of say #8 overall, next year's 1st, and CMC then you turn around and send #8 and next year's 1st plus an additional 2nd or 3rd to Miami for #3 and turn that into say Zach Wilson... I mean, that's about as good as you're going to do and it gets the fanbase excited again.
  15. I think they originally signed Teddy to avoid being in this situation. Ironically, signing Teddy has actually forced them into this situation.
  16. I mean, if you were from outside the organization wouldn't you be encouraging keeping Rivera? And if you're inside the organization, coaching changes often lead to a lot of internal change meaning all of a sudden your job might be in jeopardy. Tepper being encouraged to keep Rivera and even Hurney is completely understandable.
  17. Sometimes in your effort to prop yourself up on your high stool you just completely imagine poo.
  18. So... uh... you gonna trade for Deshaun Watson or are you just gonna sit there with your thumb up your ass? With all due respect.
  19. Yep. It's one thing to play poorly. It's another thing to blame others for that poor play. I think you're right. That was the exact moment the organization as a whole basically said, "Yeah... fug this guy." Brady dialed up a play call that helped DJ get wide open in the endzone and Teddy missed badly then complained about the play call coming in late and not allowing him the opportunity to survey the defense and check into a run. You gotta be fuging kidding me with that bullshit. GTFO.
  20. They watched what we watched. It was so infuriating because we were considerably better than anyone expected. We competed in virtually every game despite missing our best player for nearly the entire season. The D struggled to get stops at times, but time and time again they got the stops in critical situations and gave the offense and opportunity to win or tie the game and in those biggest moments Teddy came up the smallest. You just can't have that at the QB position. You need a QB who can actually win a game. In today's offense driven game you can't get away with a QB who plays not to lose.
