    I'd venture to guess that the interest is very real. At least in terms of due diligence. Especially with the Jets starting to at least throw out some messages indicating that they may seriously be considering sticking with Darnold which would presumably potentially put the #2 overall pick on the auction block.

    No way do I want Watson right now. There has to be a lot of clarity come to this situation before I'd even think about bringing him into the fold.

    Teddy has had six years to prove himself. We're soon to be the fourth team to decide he's not a starting caliber QB.

    Bingo. This organization has historically shown zero understanding of positional value and a lot of fans look past it because we've drafted some very good players at low value positions and that has played a significant role in why we've struggled at positions of higher value like OT, CB, and until recently WR.

    Since 2000 we have made 19 1st round draft picks. 5 of them have been LBs. If we drafted Parsons, that would mean that nearly one third of our 1st round picks during the 21st century have been LBs. I agree, that makes no sense.

    Sam Mills, Dan Morgan, and Jon Beason all predated Ron Rivera. Spending huge resources at LB has resulted in us fielding some great LBs. It has never contributed to building a consistent winner.

    With Luke and Wagner in 2019, we're basically talking about MLBs 1A and 1B. Both defenses sucked. We were 22nd in yardage and 31st in points. They were 26th in yardage and 22nd in points. That's be like Mahomes and Rodgers being on two of the worst offenses in the NFL. Not gonna happen.

    Nah. Once you get outside of the top 10, you're basically talking about teams that are either A) looking for a QB, B) have a young QB hopefully developing into a top 10 QB, or C) too dumb to realize they should be looking for a QB.

    Even as bad as Shula was and the bear constant OL issues we had, the worst scoring offense we fielded with Cam was still 19th in the league. That's not good, but basically barely below average.

    Could you imagine an offense with a top 5 QB sucking?

    That's my point. MLBs only make a considerable difference when everything is right in front of them and behind them. If your DL sucks and your secondary sucks, it doesn't matter of you have All-Pros at LB. Your D still sucks.

    Hindsight being 20/20 and all that, hell no you don't draft Luke at #9. You draft Fletcher Cox then take Bobby Wagner in the 2nd.

    Agreed. Pro day 40s almost always seem to be miraculously faster than Combine times. Remember when Funchess ran 4.7 at the Combine then supposedly sub 4.5 at his pro day? Sure...

    Beware the Dion Jordans. When there's a massive gap between the physical tools and the production that's as big of a red flag there is.

    Cool. Helluva prospect. Do. Not. Want. You just can't spend a top 10 pick on am off the ball LB with massive needs at far more premium positions in QB, LT, and CB.

    All I can say is that I've never seen any body armor ads on this site and my wife used to sell the stuff.
