  1. I'd be fine with Lance but I don't think he's there at #8.
  2. Teddy would throw two yard checkdowns playing behind the Hogs.
  3. Because he's capable of being better if he had the guts. You can't tell me that Jared Goff or Kirk Cousins has more pure physical ability than Teddy. He could be that level of QB he just plays scared.
  4. The second to last thing in the world I would want to do is roll with Teddy. The last would be to make that trade for Mac Jones.
  5. Well, we're no longer having the worst QB off-season. My god... imagine making that trade for... Mac Jones. That's worse than doing nothing. So much worse than doing nothing. LOLOLOL!!!
  6. Yep, he's not quite Mahomes but he's got a hose.
  7. In his 4th college game as a true freshman playing for a bad team.
  8. When he talked about continuing the tradition of Carolina LBs, I just assumed he was talking about the injuries.
  9. Perryman is a LB who will end up on IR. https://sportsinjurypredictor.com/player/denzel-perryman/7260 Hassan Reddick is a nice pass rushing specialist who isn't going to do much to turn Teddy's two yard passes into points. That TE is a light on the pants JAG WR/TE tweener. Just the truth.
  10. Forgive me for not celebrating an improvement to 7-9 with no long-term answer at QB. What you're describing is exactly what I told everyone we were signing up for last year when we signed Teddy - NFL purgatory
  11. Hell yeah! All in on improving to 6-10!!!
  12. Cut Teddy. Sign Garappolo. Garappolo predictably ends up on IR by week two with the rest of the MASH unit we signed in free agency and we suck ass all the way to #1 overall and Sam Howell while appearing to have actually positioned ourselves to try to win games and avoid any accusations of tanking. Motherfuging 4D chess.
  13. Honestly, our best case scenario might be signing Garappolo to a one year prove it deal and cutting Teddy. Then when Garappolo predictably ends up in IR early in the season, we suck our way into Sam Howell.
  14. Sure, some will bust but if our GM's plan is to find another Russ Wilson in the 3rd we're probably already fuged.
  15. The core we have is still melting down in Chernobyl. But seriously, the overall roster isn't THAT bad, but it's not competing without a QB. Put Teddy back out there and we're right back in this same situation again next year. Likely sitting with a pick in the bottom portion of the top 10 drooling over the QBs we can't draft.
  16. Teddy has had six NFL seasons to show what he has. He's a backup QB. Fug drafting a non-QB at #8. Trade down and get more future draft assets in case we need them to swing a deal.
  17. Agreed. He has intriguing physical tools and seems like a smart guy and a good guy but his play is wildly erratic. There's a reason why TAMU basically played Fox ball.
  18. We had one job. Find a QB. The very tip of the mast on that ship is currently cresting the horizon.
  19. Sam Howell My early '22 QB rankings are: 1. Howell 2. Rattler 3 thru infinity: Who gives a fug? Unless someone blows up those two are head and shoulders above anyone else. This QB class was special and we're well on our way to very badly botching it.
  20. We're still in the licking our wounds phase of the picking up the pieces of our plan while other teams are actually implementing theirs. All I'm saying is that it's looking more and more like we don't find the long-term answer at QB this year and the half-ass bandaid approach can't be tried again. Swing a hail Mary for this year or it's onto '22
  21. The options are evaporating rapidly. We were all in on Watson and it blew up in our face. I don't necessarily blame us, who could have predicted that? But, this is why you don't go all in on one option when there's so many factors involved completely beyond your control.
