OMG duke and this fuging flopping. The guy is grabbing us and he flails and puts on an acting job. I hate this fuging team
-
Our shooting the last two game has been TRASH. We haven't made anything tonight except three dunks, a layup, and one of two from the FT line. Everything else is brick city.
-
duke just straight up flails and flops for half of their calls. They don't even try to play through any contact. Just flail, flop, shoot FTs. This stit is why the game just sucks these days. It's soccer on hardwood.

Pro Football Focus: Panthers draft grade
LinvilleGorge replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
70% completion rate. Oh wee fuging mayne.. -
Flagg's injury is probably a blessing and a curse for UNC. A blessing because obviously it gives UNC a better chance of winning. A curse because it probably makes this a must win game to get into the tourney. Lose a competitive game to a full strength duke and we may still have a fighting chance to sneak in. Lose to Flagg-less duke and that feels like a wrap for sure. Tonight feels do or die. Win and we're in, lose and we're out. Sucks, but that's just where Hubert has taken Carolina basketball. That's pur new reality. Just hoping to not get embarrassed by good teams and maybe sneaking into the tournament as a last in type of deal.

The proven commodity has missed 10 games in the past two season, will require premium draft assets in a trade, and then you get to give him an elite WR contract when he's three years removed from a 1000 yard season. Yeah, give me the "nobody".
-
I honestly didn't find it to be particularly biased or one sided it was just all around awful with both teams having plenty to fairly complain about and it just completely ruined the flow of that game down the stretch. They really fuged that game up.
-
Glad to have the W but man that was an ugly game. Both teams played hard but neither played well and then the refs were just... I mean... WTF??? Truly just a baffling outing from the guys in stripes. I've seen better reffed ball games at the youth rec level.
-
This is atrocious basketball. The two teams have combined to go 2-24 over the past few minutes. The refs completely nuked the flow of the game with those 3-4 minutes where they were blowing a whistle every five seconds.
-
It's unfortunate, but this game has become completely about these refs and what is just outright incompetence.
-
The refs in this UNC/Wake game are the hottest fuging trash. They've completely lost control of this game and now they're just calling fouls like crazy with seemingly no concern over just trying to competently referee a basketball game. They're making complete asses of themselves.

An all-time great sports quote.

I remember him coming into the draft as a mid-round prospect that I was keeping an eye on.

Yeah, we just can't be doing the double whammy of giving up premium draft picks to hand out massive cap eating contract. We need to try to add quality at a bargain and draft picks are by far your best bet to accomplish that. Free agents are one thing. That is only costing your cap space. Draft picks are another thing. That is only costing your draft assets. But trading premium picks for vets who are going to demand a top of the market contract is burning the candle at both ends.
-
I don't want to give away our 2nd either. We need quality players on cheap rookie contracts. We don't need to give away the picks where we mathematically stand a solid chance of getting quality players on cheap rookie contracts to in exchange hand out massive cap eating contracts. I'm fine with having a discussion with Cincy about this to gauge the market. Doesn't hurt to talk and the media could be overblowing this whole thing and it may not be anything more than just that.
-
Nope. But man, we can't afford to give away draft assets and cap space at the same time. One of T-Mac or Warren will be there at #8 practically guaranteed if we're hell-bent on trying to get an elite receiving target for Bryce.
-
Trading premium draft assets to turn around and hand a massive contract to a guy who has missed a combined 10 games in the last two years is the EXACT type of move that this organization should NOT be making. I would MUCH rather just draft T-Mac at #8. He projects similarly to Higgins IMO anyway. I would prefer a pass rusher at that spot but if we're this interested in adding a potentially elite receiver then just stop this mess of trying to give away draft assets and a huge chunk of cap and draft the guy.

Panthers sign former Rams MLB Christian Rozeboom
LinvilleGorge replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
It baffles me that so many Panthers fans act like Shaq was a continuation of the Panthers' typically having at least one excellent LB. The guy was a JAG starter that we overdrafted at our position of greatest strength at the time then paid him like the player we hoped he would be rather than the player that he was. He was basically Will Witherspoon. Solid player but not a cornerstone of your defense. -
Well, there is that guy that we traded up to draft in the 2nd round last year...
-
True, but you know full well it's the guys with the injury history that this gets talked about with.

Panthers Prospect Visits/Meetings (Final Update-4/22)
LinvilleGorge replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
All you have to do is look at his stat sheet. I'm sorry, someone with his measurables should have a lot more than 4.5 career sacks simply from being on the field. Players make plays. Workout warriors show out at the Combine and leave everyone scratching their heads why they didn't perform better and drooling over "potential". Not every athlete is a football player. Maybe the guy will be great, we'll see. All I'm saying is that drafting workout warriors in the top 10 is risky as hell. -
Watching him engage in an MMA fight with some random DB instead of going after the ball will be pretty comical at first but it'll get old fast.

Panthers Prospect Visits/Meetings (Final Update-4/22)
LinvilleGorge replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
The terrifying thing about us drafting an athletic phenom that needs significant development is that it begs the question, how many of our draft picks ever actually develop? Seems like most of our guys are as good as they're going to get on the day we draft them. Hopefully this new staff can reverse that trend but it just seems like we've been drafting highly talented developmental prospects for years now and then completely fail to develop them. -
Panthers Prospect Visits/Meetings (Final Update-4/22)
LinvilleGorge replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
I really hope it works out whoever we draft but IMO Stewart's bust factor is off the charts. Checks every measurement box twice and yet completely lacks production. It's such a a massive red flag. -
We already made a guy with the "if healthy" distinction the highest paid DB in NFL history. How much cap and assets are we wanting to dedicate to "if healthy"?
