It comes down to pressuring him. If you can force him off his spot he struggles. If you let him get set and deliver he can carve you up.
-
Wow. They go for it and get it. That was a damn DIME from Goff.
-
Decision time coming up. Do you go for it on 4th and 2ish from midfield or do you punt and play D? The way my D is playing, I'm gonna come out here and try to get them to jump and then punt unless they give me a defensive look that I really like.
-
Wow. Another crucial late game fumble by Henry. This is becoming a huge problem for him and then this season.
-
Especially when you end up punting anyway. If you convert it's probably worth it but burning a timeout just to punt really sucks.

Goff not the best thrower on the run. LOL He could've ran for that he just didn't wanna take the hit

Really good tackle there. The Lions have done a really good job of limiting Lamar's scrambling opportunities tonight. He's burned them with some throws outside the pocket but he hasn't been able to hurt them much running for yards

I feel like a mobile version of Goff is what the Panthers thought they were getting in Bryce. Goff isn't the most physically gifted guy in the league by a long shot but he's really decisive and he's really accurate.
-
Oof. That was less good. LOL
-
Nevermind, this is dumb. We should've locked this one too.

We need to stop sending Renfrow deep. He's getting open but Bryce can't hit him. Have him run those Thielen routes from the past couple years. Bryce is a lot more accurate making those short to intermediate throws and Renfrow just doesn't have the catch radius to reel in Bryce's spotty deep throws.
-
Yeah, Bryce seems to really struggle to put the ball on Renfrow down the field.
-
If he mercilessly taunted a guy for going to duke I might have a new favorite football coach.
-
You were literally invited to copy and paste your post in one of the already existing threads where we're shitting on Bryce. At some point we just don't need another one.

At some point we don't need the thousandth iteration of this thread. Yeah, we know. Pick one of the other threads and copy and paste this.

I could only tolerate a minute of that but I honestly think that energy was the exact same energy the Falcons brought to that game. The completely overlooked us because they saw it as an easy day at the office.
-
We got people dunking over 16/24 for 121 yards and 0 TDs, 2 carries for 8 yards like it was an impressive achievement. I mean... that says everything about how it's been going.
-
I mean, Bryce did dig us a massive hole last week before playing well against soft D and then folding like a lawn chair when they had to start playing stingy again out of need. And we did play a team that turned the ball over at will yesterday while failing to do much as cross their own 30 yard line all game long allowing us to win 30-0 while passing for 121 yards and 0 TDs with a 5 yards per attempt average. I don't think we learned anything new about Bryce yesterday. Whatever you thought of him going into yesterday you probably still think.

The powers that be were clearly NOT anticipating a noon matchup between two teams desperately trying not to be at the bottom of the ACC for this one. Luda hitting the stage at 10AM. It is way too damn early in the day to be getting that crunk to watch bad football. LOL Ya know, I honestly think I would've just cancelled it even if it meant paying him not to show.
-
Tremayne has earned the right to play over XL, that's for sure. Granted the bar to clear for that is on the floor but still. Honestly, when Coker returns I want to see T-Mac, Tremayne, and Coker getting heavy dose of snaps. The Bryce/Renfrow connection is just not planning out and XL has produced virtually nothing.
-
Let's just hope he keeps looking good. DJ is still out #3 all-time WR by a comfortably margin despite only playing 5 seasons for us. Our history at WR is just awful.
-
I really think they came into that game cocky thinking the W was guaranteed and they could use it as an opportunity to work on some different stuff. You just can't take any game for granted in the NFL. At the end of that day, that team might suck relative to the other NFL teams but it's still comprised of some of the best football players on the planet. There's a MUCH smaller talent gap between the #1 and the #32 NFL team than there is the #1 and #32 college team. Hell, there's probably a smaller gap between #1 and #32 in the NFL than there is #1 and #10 in college.

We'll see. I mean, I don't see us winning many games where we barely throw for under 130 yards and 0 TDs. So I'm not worried about that. If we end up with a better than expected record then Bryce will have to put up significantly better numbers.

I mean, Hampton is on pace for 1200+ total yards. I think he'll get it going on the ground, he's looked good as a receiver. The alarming thing about Jeanty is that he just puts zero effort in on plays where he's not the focal point. Now I'm sure he was accustomed to taking plays off on the field at Boise State because he was the entire focus of the offense and opposing defense but you just can't do that at the NFL level.
