  1. This. We were getting the #1 overall pick and something to be excited about. Kinda how we all had hope when we traded for #1. Then the reality set in to what we had (well, for most of us at least) and now it's just completely and utterly depressing.
  2. Sadly, almost certainly next year too. I'm already onto looking at '25 QBs. Next year's a write off.
  3. A matchup of two of the worst teams in the league but one is significantly worse than the other.
  4. Icky is getting eat up every week. I don't care what his PFF grade says. He's getting beat BAD multiple times every game.
  5. Back to back bad misses but one of his best throws of the season on 3rd down.
  6. Again??? Wide ass open misses on back to back plays
  7. Good grief. Receivers don't get anymore wide open.
  8. Only about three yards but honestly probably Sanders' best run of the year.
  9. Arguably the best player on a D giving up the most points per game in the league. Let's give him $30M!
  10. The Titans stole our playbook for that drive. Run for nothing. Screen for nothing. Screen for nothing.
  11. Hopefully the #1 overall pick again in '25. Because we still need a QB.
  12. Led or not, when you throw a ball at knee level to a RB it's usually gonna be an incomplete pass but keep coping.
  13. Watching Bryce having to literally jump like a frog to throw is getting old. Every time he does it the result is a bad throw.
  14. Zavala goes out. Maybe the OL play will improve. Not joking.
  15. But hey, he wasn't lying. He promised no more mediocrity and he delivered. I was just hoping he meant the other direction. What Tepper called mediocrity Panthers fans call the good old days.
  16. Yeah, they're fuged for this year. Everyone talks about finding a WR to replace Higgins but I think it's past time they try to put an OL in front of Burrow. I'm gunning for a top 10 pick and the best OL available if I'm them. The WR class looks deep. There will be good WR prospects available on round two. Just try to figure out the guys the Panthers are high on and cross them off your list.
  17. I mean, the majority of the Huddle has been saying this for quite awhile now.
  18. To discuss the other games being played today...
  19. You don't do that for a guy that you don't genuinely like. They knew hey did him dirty but they have a responsibility to field the best roster they can and they saw an opportunity to upgrade - at least on paper in potential - and they took it. Then they did the best they could for Grier and gave him a full game to show out for other teams and he took advantage of it. Big props to Grier and (gulp) the Cowboys for that.
  20. Don't get me wrong, he wasn't the answer hence why he's having trouble sticking to rosters. But he does seem like a good dude.
  21. Love affair? Hell, I'm saying Chicago should move on from him. Hardly a love affair. He has a high level of talent. That's obvious. He just hasn't been at all consistent. As a fan of football, I'm curious to see if a change of scenery can fix that.
  22. The only thing that's gonna happen after a long cold winter is the Bears picking at #1 with our pick.
  23. Unlike with Apple where you can watch it grow, see it's potential, and hop on at anytime at the market price, once the Patriots draft Tom Brady in the 6th round that's a wrap. No more opportunity to invest.
  24. The part about hedge funds that doesn't translate to the NFL is that there's a much larger pool of potential investment opportunities and other investors jumping in doesn't necessarily exclude you. Common stock can be held by lots of different investors. There's no exclusivity unless you buy the whole outfit and take it private. The NFL is all about a small talent pool and exclusive rights. You can't go buy stock in Patrick Mahomes. You have to identify Patrick Mahomes, go get him, then develop him. Same with coaches and front office personnel. It's an entirely different environment requiring an entirely different approach and I see no signs of Tepper understanding that. He keeps thinking he's going to figure out a secret cheat code to dominate the league when all he's really accomplishing is digging himself into a gigantic hole.
