I mean, when you consistently draft as shitty as we do and run with virtually no depth as a result, it's kinda hard to have any talent to speak of slip through the cracks. Sad, but true. On good rosters sometimes good talent gets caught up in a numbers game. The "numbers game" we usually play is "how in the hell are we going to find 22 NFL caliber players to field a starting lineup" much less a full 53.

I don't think that counts for what OP is talking about. Peppers was already a superstar here before he went to GB.

Evan Mathis comes to mind. Bust for us, 2x Pro Bowler and 1st team All-Pro for the Eagles... and was the starting LG for the Broncos in SB50.

I don't think the buddy factor plays near the role that you think. At the end of the day, you're still taking the deal that you think is best for your team. Buddies or not.,

Ultimately, I think Corral and Howell are the best QB prospects in this draft. Yeah, Willis has the best raw talent but there are tons of question marks around his level of competition and sporadic accuracy. Yeah, Pickett had a great season but it came out of nowhere when he was the oldest most experienced player on the field granted an extra season due to COVID. Where was anywhere near that level of play before? Ridder? You just don't see a special guy when you watch him. He looks like a JAG. The whole is far less than the s of the parts. My rankings go: Howell Corral Willis That's the end of the list for guys I'd spend a 1st on.

Yeah, the Heels have never played well when they go into "protect the lead" mode but I think Hubert knew his guys were running out of gas. I still think we would've been better off keeping the foot on the gas until the foot fell off but it's easy to say you should've done something different in hindsight. I'm proud of the way the team kept fighting like hell and didn't fold when KU came back. We couldn't hit water from a boat but the heart and effort never lacked.

Didn't look like goal tending to me and the crowd reaction was pretty telling on the replay they got and we didn't. TV coverage of this tourney was poo. Too much pushing their narrative and not enough showing of replays of key plays and actually telling us what's going on. So many times they'd be talking about whatever and I'm trying to figure out was it a foul? If so on who? Or did they call traveling, out of bounds? I have no idea what's going on because they're talking about who knows what and showing shots of the crowd.
