  1. Two thirds of games missed since ink to paper. Zero classic "season ending" injuries. Keep doing mental gymnastics if you need. I'll be resting these MCL-less knees after a hard morning of hiking basking in my ignorance of soft tissue injuries.
  2. All of his injuries have been of the soft tissue, non-severe (not full tears) variety. What bold claims am I making? I'm not saying he IS soft or OS gaming the system I'm just saying that he might be and there are legit signs that point to that possibly being the case. Take off your fan girl glasses and relaxed you'd be mocking the hell out of a rival if they had a guy who played like an iron man before getting an all-time contract and then all of a sudden started missing two thirds of the games with injuries that generally don't require a ton of missed time. Hell, I don't blame CMC either way. I doubt I'd be all that inclined to go out there and take a pounding for a shitty team once I had my generational wealth contract in hand either. It is what it is.
  3. He played in 48 of a possible 48 games before his big new contract. Since then he's played in 10 of a possible 33. I definitely agree with pulling him out of the lineup when we're mathematically eliminated. As for the staff decision, players know what to say with soft tissue injuries if they want to get clearance to play... they also know what to say when they don't want to get clearance to play. Especially guys whose fathers had long NFL careers. For the record, I don't blame CMC if he's gaming the system. But I do think there's a pretty decent chance that he's gaming the system.
  4. Disrespectful comments get disrespectful replies. And your comment got you nothing more than getting served up what you deserved. No ban. Not even a warning. If we do, bring mom!
  5. Now that you mention it, I did lose your mom's number. Hit me back with it. Thanks!
  6. I have empathy for the guys who have suffered severe injuries. Or the guys who bust their ass and just aren't good enough... or the average Joe dealing with soaring inflation and stagnating wages. But the reality is that CMC has missed an inordinate amount of time with relatively minor injuries in terms of NFL injuries and all if it has come after signing what was at the time the richest RB contract in NFL history.
  7. He's missed TONS of time with minor injuries. The type of injuries players routinely play through. Listen, I get it. We suck and there's really no point in him playing through nagging injuries risking further injury when he already has his contract. I don't blame him. But does he really want to play football? If he does and really wants to compete then demand a trade and try to force your way to a contender. If he doesn't, then just keep doing what you're doing. Milk that first minor injury all the way to the IR list and cash those checks and Instagram it up.
  8. He's a helluva talent but I'm not so sure he hasn't just kinda checked out on football for the Instagram life since getting that big ass contract. If he doesn't want to risk injury playing for a shitty team, honestly I get it but just man up and demand a trade already if that's the case.
  9. I've looked at the schedule. 5.5 is the perfect line because I think we likely win 5 or 6 games.
  10. Pretty awesome overall. Oh... you meant about the Panthers? Oh wee mayne.
  11. If he can throw with both hands on the move, yeah that would be a definite advantage.
  12. Please make this idiocy stop. Just fuging stop it with the vet castoffs. It hasn't worked. It's highly unlikely to work. We really have to stop throwing premium resources and no -premium veteran QBs. Stop it.
  13. Texas will probably blow A&M's doors off (again) once they're in the $EC. They're still at the top despite being pretty mediocre for the past decade.
  14. You're on a roll. Now you've nailed an all-time ironic post. Back to back Hall of Infamy caliber posts!
  15. Not sure if you were shooting for the most tone-deaf post in Huddle history, but if you didn't hit the moon you certainly landed ong the stars.
  16. Yep. It was badly needed. Now it badly needs some parameters and oversight. I honestly think that's why the NCAA fought it for so long and why when they were finally forced to open the flood gates they just threw them open 100%. They don't want to actually work. They want this to be a full on poo show so that they can say, "See! We told you so!"
  17. It's going to be really messy in college sports while this whole NIL process is getting ironed out. It was way past time for something like this to happen but it's gonna be the wild west for awhile.
  18. You don't have to be a fan of Minshew to understand that he's better than Sam Darnold. He's a stop gap/good backup type of player. That's a lot better than Sam Darnold who is a poo tier NFL QB.
  19. I honestly didn't even notice Teddy's name on the list. Yes, Teddy is better than Darnold. By a decent margin. Teddy would actually be an ideal backup. He's not going to go out there and lose the game for you. He's definitely not gonna win it either, but he's the perfect kinda "hold the fort down" backup. Your team is going to be what your team is with Teddy. Bad roster, bad team. Good roster, good team. He's just the perfect vanilla QB. Him being your starter at QB adds more subtracts any expected wins from baseline. If you sucked before Teddy, you still suck. If you were good before Teddy, you're still good (unless your previous QB was carrying you).
  20. No way Darnold should be ahead of Taylor, Minshew, or Mills. I wasn't big at all on Pickett as a prospect but he hasn't proven he sucks in the NFL and Darnold has so hell I'd have him over Darnold too.
  21. Damn. Ademola Okulaja passes away yesterday at 46. Not sure of the cause but he did have a cancerous tumor removed from his spine in '08 that ended his European pro basketball career. RIP.
  22. I hate it for the guy but there's no ignoring that he was really awful before the injury. I hate he had to go through ACL rehab because it sucks, but it may have bought him a few more NFL paychecks than he would've otherwise gotten. Just the harsh reality of the NFL.
