We were sold on Darnold by Rhule saying that "he's basically a rookie". As insanely absurd as that statement was, it was also proven to be a half face lie in how Darnold has been handled this preseason. The "basically a rookie" is actually being treated like a seasoned All-Pro coming back from an injury. It's bizarre and baffling but the proof will be in the pudding. If it works, it'll look brilliant. If it doesn't, Rhule will absolutely deserve all the criticism that will come his way.

Seemed like really good roster management drafting Marshall to take Robby's place in a year and pocketing the comp pick Robby would've gotten us. I thought this preseason with Marshall looking good and Shi Smith also showing promise would've cemented that plan. If we end up choosing Robby > DJ, oh wee mayne.

I'm not sure we'll end up proving to have a legit NFL QB on the roster. Teddy was a legit backup.

Well, that return effort left a little to be desired.

I feel terrible for Spencer Brown. Desperately trying to get a roster spot or practice squad spot and every time he's gotten the ball the blocking has been completely non-existent.

Teddy is a subpar starter, but he's a good backup. Grier isn't NFL roster caliber.

Grier was the perfect patsy last year and we blew it to give Teddy a fat bag. Had we rolled with Will Grier we'd have Lawrence or Wilson right now.
