I think "analytics" was just code for "Tepper's call".

Sam is used to it. That UNC OL his final year was beyond atrocious. Dude don't give a fug. He'll stand in there and fire that pig skin anyway. He's that dude and somehow the whole NFL just missed it.

Or did they just stop listening to the scouts?
-
If it involves football then yes, we have a problem with that thing. Our drafting and FA signings have largely been terrible. So either the scouting sucks ass or the decision makers aren't listening to the scouts.

Higgins would've been nice but I'm sure any conversation about him would've started with a #1 next year which we didn't have and any conversation about him likely ended when Burrow healed up and started looking like Burrow again.

Stop saying dumb stuff and then getting indignant about it if you don't want to be mocked. -
Yeah, he's basically Brock Purdy. Purdy was Mr. Irrelevant for a reason. They're system QBs with limited physical tools who need the right offense and most importantly the ideal surrounding pieces to succeed. If you land a guy like that in the mid to late rounds sweet. But you don't draft a guy like that in the 1st round. The Pats are finding that out the hard way. You sure as hell don't trade a haul to draft a guy like that #1 overall. We're finding that out the very hard way.

What is the QB's job after the snap? You said he's supposed to read the defense not predict the future. Literally I've of the dumbest things I've ever seen a football fan say. It's almost as if you have no idea that NFL defenses routinely disguise their intentions pre-snap. -

Stop embarrassing yourself. You've already stated that you think a QB's job ends with the pre-snap read. Literally one of the dumbest football takes to ever be voiced. -

It's very obvious to anyone that understands football but don't tell the Copium Few. -

Your post was extremely dumb. So I guess you thinking I'm consistently the worst poster here is a badge of honor. -

Poo and a sigh. That's all you've got at this point. You're running on pure faith. Either that or sheer denial. Not sure there's really much of a fundamental difference between the two mindsets. I do a lot of sighing every time I think about all we traded to draft this guy #1 overall. Watching him get outplayed by a rookie UDFA out of a D2 school was just awesome I tell ya. -

This is a hilariously bad take. The QB's job is to effectively execute the play, period. If you're getting consistently fooled by pre-snap defensive disguises you're not gonna make it long in the NFL. -

But Bryce can't be the typical rookie because he doesn't have the typical rookie physical traits upside. Agreed on the defensive trap. It was beautiful. -

The issue is that the "super processor" narrative got pushed for a reason. Everyone with working vision who wasn't wildly biased could see that his physical toolset was marginal. He HAS to be mentally superior to have a chance. It should be a real wakeup call for the holdouts to watch a rookie UDFA QB coming out of D2 college football outplay him last night. Not just in terms of results but just in terms of passing the eye test and looking the part. Honest to god, if you didn't know anything about the two guys and who was who if you tuned into that game and I told you one guy was the #1 overall pick that a team traded a haul to get and the other guy was a UDFA D2 QB, 10 out of 10 football fans would've said that the Bears' QB was the #1 overall pick and Bryce was the UDFA D2 guy. That's the sad state of reality that we find ourselves in.
