  1. Hey y'all, we know coach is a fuging moron but we all have careers to protect and many of us have next contracts to secure so we gotta fuging figure this poo out on our own.
  2. It's quite fitting that the local Panthers bar is a play on words about poor choices.
  3. But hey, look at the bright side. At least we didn't trade for Deshaun Watson. What a fuging disaster that would've been. Just imagine the Huddle thread following that preseason debut he had...
  4. We'll see how it goes in the regular season. I allowed myself to have some hope we'd turn it around but there are a lot of indications this preseason that this could be a total dumpster fire. I'm just hoping for one or the other. Give me a surprising turnaround that shows this organization is clearly headed in the right direction or crash and burn hard forcing a total reset.
  5. It's the preseason and we're a team that has been struggling epically at QB for several years now.
  6. Henry is rapidly closing in on that 1800 carry RB cliff.
  7. Agreed on the rule changes, but those rule changes have made the more spread style offenses featured in college more effective in the NFL. That and tighter rules on how you can hit QBs (not named Cam Newton). Even with the tighter officiating on illegal contact, if you could tee off on QBs like you used to be able to it'd still he hard to get away with running these spread pass heavy concepts.
  8. Have they? Average yards and points have been steadily increasing for the past 20 years. Yeah, elite defenses are going to do what they do but that's cherry picking. Look at league averages for the better overall picture.
  9. Ironically, most modern NFL offenses more closely resemble a typical college offense than they do the stereotypical "NFL offense" of the '80s. The college game has been the primary driver of innovation in the game for awhile now.
  10. I'm pretty sure Corral has to make the 53 and then put on IR not to be exposed to the waiver wire. Remember the dust up when the Pats plucked that RB from us who we were trying to put on IR in the preseason?
  11. It sucks to suck. When you suck everyone is going to key in on everything you do that sucks.
  12. I'm curious to see how things go with Venables leaving. IMO, he was the best football mind on that staff. Dabo can flat out recruit his ass off so I don't think Clemson is going to the dregs anytime soon but I wonder if they're still going to be perennial national title contenders minus Venables.
  13. Yeah, I'm pretty convinced Dabo has a room temperature IQ but the guy wins a poo ton of football games so who cares?
  14. Matt Rhule could say all the stupid poo he wanted if he won games and no one would care.
  15. The majority of teams' QBs definitely do not get hurt. He said "majority".
  16. "The reality of this league is most teams will play multiple quarterbacks." What in the fug is this talking about?
  17. We have three BIG question marks even if Baker is at least the temporary solution to our QB dilemma. 1. Coaching 2. OL 3. DL depth Is is possible we could make a shocking run? Honestly, yeah. But everything has to go perfectly and that's highly unlikely. We have no capacity to sustain any injuries in the trenches.
  18. I said before the draft that the Panthers fan in me wants us to draft him but the Sam Howell fan in me wants him to go pretty much anywhere else.
  19. This. We had a helluva pass rush and our cover 3 shell zone allowed him to mainly sit back and read and react. That's what Norman had in spades - great reaction and ball skills. We always complained about Ron's D always playing CBs with a 10 yard cushion but it was exactly what allowed Norman to excel.
  20. We're shook because of the Corral injury. We were planning to run a wishbone offense with Darnold taking the snap and Mayfield and Corral flanked out behind him so that the defense didn't know who would actually be throwing the ball. Now we have to decide a whole new game plan.
  21. Yeah, we were in continual talks. Why wouldn't we be if we knew we may end up actively pursuing him? Seems to me that we assessed that the market was soft. So why not be patient and A) negotiate the best possible deal and also B) get a chance to get a better evaluation of our rookie in the meantime? I think if Corral had looked like another Russell Wilson in rookie camp our next conversation with the Browns would've basically been, "If we have an injury we'll give you a call but as of now we're out."
  22. Yep. Pretty much what I'm thinking.
